denley gone now
Jimmy will probably soon call it a day, I'd imagine. Possibly before the summer tests? He's 37 now, and the role of a fast bowler is punishing on the body. Couple that with the regularity of him picking up injuries now; does he need to put himself through that hassle any more? His place among the all time great pace bowlers is assured.Yep, top bowler if he can stay fit. The thought of him and Archer bombing into the Aussies is quite mouth watering. I like Woakes as well. Could we be coming to the end of the Anderson and Broad era?

Is it? Is it possible? Could they play this out for a draw?
It would be one hell of a rearguard action, the like of which has probably never been see in test cricket. I'm quite enjoying this, really.

We are now seeing the folly of entering a 5 day test without a specialist spinner.
