Here’s an article from the Guardian that is as rabidly pro-Remain as it gets (even for Remain Central). Remainers on here should love it whereas I found it to be laughably shite...opinions eh?

They hate the country and the people so much because there are some who hold a different opinion to them?

I've never gotten that mentality; if you have that much hate in your soul for a nation and it's people, why not just move?

5 minutes trawling the Sun, Daily Mail, Express etc and I could find 10x the ammunition to counter this post. I'm was a remainer, since moved on with my life but haven't read the Guardian for years, that a good enough opinion eh?

We could go on a spree posting Twitter videos from every side it doesn't help at all does it? Look at some of those replies? Social media is a disease and it's infecting everyone who searches for rubbish that feeds their own narrative, a very vocal minority looking to get offended at everything they see.
#thick is trending on UK twitter.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

It's laugh.

Bunch of right wing idiots, typical Brexit coonts the hatred is unbelievable.Picking on individuals, keep on waving the union jack flags but don't come near me.

They are twats but what would you do to someone waving the Union Jack?

Hit them with your Glockenspeil?

The UK became an EU vassal state for eleven months.
It will be for a lot longer than 11 months. We just have to choose which entity to be in vassalage to at the end of the year. That choice was all we have voted for. So it’s the EU, the US or China’s rules we’ll have to follow or maybe a mix. The one thing in common is that we’ll have no say in the formulation of any of them.

June: there will be a summit during which both sides can evaluate progress. Seemingly a deal on fishing has to be agreed by the end of June (I have no idea why).

The Withdrawal Agreement lays out the sequencing for future talks. We agreed that fishing rights would be not only agreed by June but ratified by both sides. Financial Services is also scheduled for agreement by June but not ratification. EU moved to ensure that areas where the UK has leverage are taken off the table as early as possible.

Thread was essentially good humoured all last night and it's now back to its bitterest best.

Oh well, I'm up for several more years of it if everyone else is?
Tbf you've called a poster a liar and already started on the anti semitic stuff in the Labour Party. I'd look closer to home on who's starting all the shit up again.

The timeline on that twitter feed is hilarious, rampant hatred towards the British (Well mainly English). This is going to go on and on the trenches have been dug and the social media raging minority are screaming at each other in an echo chamber of their own making.
To be fair, that wasn’t a video of a vitriolic Twitter exchange, mate. That was a tweet with a video of a real life encounter between some imbeciles (whether leave or remain) and non-UK citizens on the street.

Whilst I agree the social media echo chambers have substantially contributed to increasing the likelihood of these types of real world encounters (thanks in part to Putin’s “new” tactics, the US clandestine services, and our very own GCHQ working to stir the pot beyond what people are very willing to do on their own), a lot of this has been and would be there even without the apparatus for amplification.

There are absolute racist/xenophobic bellends on both the leave and remain sides — as well as the EU side to be fully inclusive — and I don’t think we should ever let our political leanings stop us from calling them out.

Do you ever read the thread and note it started with someone and his racist DJ and the reply was to a post going on about foreign languages?

Ask mat and Vic why they did that by all means.

Here’s a refreshing change.

After seeing Theresa May failing to ever state a clear & decisive negotiating position and never once counteract the almost daily barrage of demands and threats coming from the EU it will be a far different proposition going forward.

Johnson is due to make a speech next week where he will state that he will prefer to accept checks on movement of goods and tariffs rather than stay in alignment with the EU. This may well be a negotiating position but that is how these things work. By the end, May had both hands tied behind her back (possibly by choice) so there was no obvious reason for the EU to negotiate seriously.

No deal is back on the table and it carries a threat for the EU as they don’t want a large competitor on their doorstep which is able to undercut them.

Finally toe to toe negotiations are about to commence.

I haven't got any political leanings because the political parties have taken that choice away from me, this toing and froing posting one side versus the other side is tragic on so many levels. I genuinely voted for Labour in the last election to give Corbyn a chance to run a country instead of running his own mouth off and I voted to remain because I didn't want my non UK based family to be hindered by any regulations.

But that said and done I am resigned to making a good deal out of a bad situation, someone on here said that they thought that if the Tories had been against Brexit and Labour had pushed for it then a lot of remainers would have supported it, the reason why we are in the situation we are in now is that X-factor politics has dragged the bitterness from a few vocal ideologues into the forefront.

They don't offend me, they embarrass me.

He won't.

That would mean confronting an uncomfortable truth.
