that were many funny things in boris speech today even the way he presented it mainly looking at the ceiling but the line we want a Canada style agreement with the eu but if we can’t get that then we will look toward an Australia type agreement.

in other words in his cogs in his head, Brits like Australia and they want an agreement so if I invent a new phrase jobs a good un and people will think that sounds like a good deal.

Boris rambles - the EU produce a 33 page briefing on their stance and the £ falls - Johnson will find just how much reality bites.

Meanwhile the unelected Cummings wields his will via his remote control poundshop Mussolini in a shocking attack of free speech.

This is an absolute disgrace. A free and fair press is a vital pillar in an open democracy. Moves like this are directly out of the Trump playbook and have no place in the UK. Bravo on all the journalists for showing solidarity with their colleagues.

On here maybe. But remaining a member of the EU is universally popular. It polls consistently over 50%. Corbyn is universally un-popular he polls 30% on a very good day.
I was meaning on here

I could name several posters that are in the 'top few' in both the number of posts they make and how stridently anti-Brexit they are - who would be utterly obsessed Leave supporters if that guaranteed a hard-left government

From what I have seen Australia has no free trade deal with the EU does it? I do know its a lot further away from us that the EU.

edit - they have opened negotiations - May 2018 and still not concluded yet we are going to get one done in 9 months?

It does not. ‘Australian type deal’ is just ‘no deal’ rebranded.

A triumph of pasting skills

It’s fairly obvious just look at those that have represented English nationalism going back to the 70s when the English flag and nationalism was misappropriated by the NF, BNP, football hooligans. More recently EDF,. There is a place for English nationalism and IMO an English parliament in Federal UK., but it needs to taken back from the extremists, it needs to stand for something not against things, that’s been something I’ve believed all the way back to the 70s and the old rock against racism days. It’s a long way back for English nationalism to lose that image.
But there it is - straight away

A couple of posters mention a entirely obvious and factual point about how English people speaking up for English interests is always demeaned - and.....

You are straight in with association to groups that we should all shun

That somewhat makes my point for me

lol - says the FT subscriber, their Customs Union is a protectionist enclave by definition.
(two in a row - do I get a prize?)

For being wrong? Fraid not.

The EU is far more in favour of free trade than the US. I mean it runs a free trade bloc of 27 countries (plus others in its orbit) which should be a clue.

Tell you what fella - I'll do what I fucking want - ok?
Hey - why so butt hurt - inconvenient truths?

You are not shy at telling people what they should think

You posted something that is clearly incorrect - I corrected you

I wasn't expecting thanks, but.....
