It’s a three year rolling period, so ignoring it would just result in another ban when this one finishes.Do we have to follow UEFA FFP when we are banned? I am guessing its part of the penalty?

Consider this scenario. You're accused of a crime you didn't commit but you're confident you'll be exonerated because you have a dossier full of evidence that proves you're innocent while all the prosecution have is third hand hearsay sourced from a person currently in custody awaiting trial for a number of very serious charges. At your trial you notice a business rival, whose company stands to benefit if you're found guilty, sitting on the jury. Then the judge refuses your lawyer permission to present the "irrefutable" evidence that would clear you. On top of that, while your trial is still ongoing, the judge is leaking to the press that you'll be found guilty and even the sentence you'll get. Then you get found guilty. However, there is public and media outrage at the unfair trial and lack of due process.
That in a nutshell is the situation City found themselves in. Apart from the public and media outrage.
Is it the press declining to discuss it then? All I see is the league 2 shit, pep leaving etc. Don’t think sky have it at all on their news feedThere was a very public and strong statement from them last night.
The issue the club have had from the onset is that as the new boys they didn’t want to rock the boat They negotiated with UEFA a deal that was the final settlement basically for the good of football HH was prepare to spend as much as necessary to take it to law but must have been persuaded that it was best to “take a pinch” The Arab nation put great store in being honourable and expect the same The cartel who control football have been determined to stop City they have had to watch as the club grows to be one of the top clubs in world football both on and off the field The leaked emails gave them an weapon to once again try to stop City so they used their puppet UEFA and their corrupt rules and regulations once again The club submitted a comprehensive document when initially charged but in their hast, due to the 5 year limit, the investigative panel sent their report with a recommendation to the next step the UEFA chamber with a recommendation to ban City for one year, they also leaked this to all their masters and their friends in the media as to what they were going to do to bad old City. The club rightly complained that the process was suppose to be highly confidential, both parties had signed up for this, and that there was no way in the time it had taken to have conducted a complete examination and that their evidence could not have been considered. The club took these complaints to CAS, prematurely but obviously there was a reason for this CAS went through due process and were disturbed in UEFA’s conduct vindication of the clubs complaint but it was out of process as UEFA hadn’t completed the “chamber” step so it was basically thrown out. A few days later UEFA announced their verdict preceded by a few articles in the press, more leaks, celebrating the further punishment. So now the gloves are off City now appeal to CAS and the case will be examined by legal people in the correct way From what I’ve read the CAS verdict is the last step, although I guess WHEN we win UEFA will be sued along with others for damages HH will get his day in court after allI totally agree with you BUT I do kind of think that if we genuinely felt on the right side of the argument we should have contested this in court from the off. Instead we've just done our own thing, broken the rules and hoped we'd get away with it. I don't think we've covered ourselves in glory here and I'm pretty disappointed that an operation as slick as ours hasn't found a smarter way of dealing with this. Really hoping that on appeal this will reduced to one year (which I can deal with given next season will be quite transitional) and also that we go completely mental and tear down every other club we can. Plenty of other clubs are behaving in a very dodgy manner and I hope we make sure they're called out on it.
That's why we have appellate courts.Consider this scenario. Most sensible articles I’ve seen about the verdict have referenced our response, albeit not always even-handedly. Anyway, here it is in case you missed it:Is it the press declining to discuss it then? All I see is the league 2 shit, pep leaving etc. Don’t think sky have it at all on their news feed
Thought there might have been a very public and very strong statement released by the club the lack of one doesn’t fill me with great hope. Can’t see what we are waiting for now.
thats a fair point, but I expect CAS to be impartial.....
Scouse twat, idolises Paisley, was previously threatened by City lawyers, no hidden agendaIt’s open season in the papers today Rach. They’re all lining up to have a dig.
We will expose the corruption at UEFA and the premier league and you lot and them other red mardarses will all be part of it.I'm not as clued up on this case as you guys are. But I keep seeing references to 'irrefutable evidence' that you aren't guilty. Is this just something the owners have come out with? Or is there more to it?
You sum it up nicely.UEFA considers that City have committed "serious breaches" of the FFP regulations by "overstating its sponsorship revenues" between2012 and 2016. Am I correct in believing that this is the first time any doubt about City's accounts for this period have been raised? Am I correct in believing that UEFA declared City (and PSG) to be released from all penalties in 2015 because of the club's conformity to the FFP regulations? I presume UEFA have informed the club which sponsorship deals have been overstated and what information has proved this. My opinion is that if UEFA are not on rock solid ground they are in serious trouble. Not only will they have to make their case in CAS they can expect action in the commercial courts against them by the club but also by some heavyweight sponsors who will be feeling mightily aggrieved. This is in addition to examinations of process and procedure employed by UEFA and the personnel involved. UEFA are playing a very risky game and a strategy of hoping that a very heavy sanction may persuade City to take another pinch - if that is what UEFA intend - will not work. I still feel, though, that CAS will save UEFA's bacon by upholding City's appeal that the procedure was so flawed that the verdict cannot be upheld. The question then will be whether City are prepared to push for punitive damages... What do you think the mood in Abu Dhabi is at the moment?
it's the random one i worry about. i know what to expect from the UEFA puppet, though.CAS will approve a lesser ban of 1 year and reduced fine. The question is our owner says we have provided evidence of no wrongdoing - that means we must not accept a lower charge.
This will go to court unless our owners go against their own words and back down
Remember CAS panel is chosen. One by us, one by uefa and the last panel member is random
