City playing 1 game a week ,every week ,training for the next weekend , working on set pieces , less injuries , more recovery time...look at Chelsea or Leicester without European football , less games is a big advantage in the domestic league ...

I consider myself well-acquainted with this whole FFP malarkey but even then everyday I find an article in this thread that shows a new level of corruption that I didn't know even existed. As PB has already stated CAS are not a court as such. They will only rule on procedural violations and make sure the punishments UEFA sanctioned fit the crime as such.

The best we can hope for at CAS is the case is thrown out due to UEFA not following its own process.

That is the reason City mentioned “CAS in the first instance” The fight to clear our name and show the irrefutable evidence will happen in the Swiss Courts

But you can only bring a specific dispute to them. We couldn't go straight to CAS and complain about FFP & how it breaches EU Competition Law. They will take the relevant law into account in a dispute. They are not a court of law however.

I think he calls it as he sees it, with no bias or agenda. When Raz was getting pelters and dippers were calling him money obsessed he did a great piece in which his verdict on their campaign was "It is a lie". So while dippers are playing great footy, he praises them, but he did several pieces praising us too when we were at our best.

I agree, there's nothing wrong with Winter. I think he tries to stay above the trash, and has the status to do it, a bit like Samuel.

It seems obvious to me. If they couldn't, then there would be no sporting appeal process.

My impression is that they don't look in full legal depth, but make sure everything has been done correctly, whether the conclusions/penalties are reasonable, and if they are in line with any previous matters.

Ceferin was offering to be lenient, the cartel were no doubt leaning on him to really hammer us. I think that tells you everything you need to know about the AC's "independence". Quite clearly they're being influenced.

Wouldn't surprise me if this was a big part of where the "failing to co-operate" bollocks comes from, I think we've lost all confidence in them to act in an impartial manner and told them to fuck off, we'll go to a professional and recognised sporting body.
With the benefit of hindsight, I wonder if the club now thinks they should have challenged UEFA the moment they changed the calculation format AFTER they'd given us advice and assurances and we'd submitted our accounts.

Don't lets fool ourselves, IF the ban is confirmed by CAS, it would be a total disaster and set the club back years.

But I have 100% confidence that CAS will throw out the ban, and our owners resolve to make us the biggest and greatest club in the world will be strengthened considerably.

They're certainly pressurised, I agree - at least some of the G14 are clearly agitating at any level they can.

There are different levels of 'independence' in people's interpretations that means it's not understood or cited in the same sense by everyone.

I just listened to that fat Geordie podcast, he was ranting and raving how we’ve cheated and not won anything fairly blah blah.
