But don't you understand mate? Asking a manager immediately after they've won a trophy of he accepts bungs is just 'reporting on an issue' and is definately a 'civil' thing to ask in those circumstances, despite their being no foundation or evidence to warrant this question, whatsoever. I'm sure that when Harris asked this question, he fully intended to report on it from 'multiple perspectives' and with 'context'.

My bad, I'm told is the expression.

Nick is dangerous. Shocked the legal department haven't instructed this to be taken down. He's passing it off as a club response and using our logo on his edited version of the released statment. If you read that, how do you know what Nick has edited and what we have? Talk about unauthorised and stolen material... hmmm

Just reads like the infantile, bitter whinging of an obscure blogger who's sore that due to his complete lack of credibility he's ended up on the outside of the biggest story in English Football at the moment - and he's having a bit of a tantrum about the club not deigning his questions worthy of response.

Why on earth he thinks City should treat him with anything other than complete contempt - considering that's all he treats the Club with - is beyond me. Maybe that's why your questions are being routinely ignored, Nick!

I mean - if he was in any way credible, we might have to bite the bullet and attempt to engage - but frankly hacks like this make it so easy for us to bypass them, I'm sure the Club don't give his witterings a second thought.

Always worth remembering that Guardiola did over 40 press conferences between the article about Mancini getting paid for a side gig and Rob Harris asking Pep about it 20 minutes after we won the FA Cup.

brilliantly put , confession , i have copy pasted this post @ Rob Harris twitter handle and if he hasn't muted till now , shall at least read it !

Its very well put without sounding like a rant to a non-city fan.

This made me look up the number since I didn't want it to be exaggerated, but it turns out it was actually 85. He has to do one before and after each game and we played 42 games between 8th November when the Mancini story dropped and The FA Cup final (where he also didn't ask before the game).

to be honest he sounds like an absolute weapon.

Sad twat.

Think certain journalists get far too much attention from City fans and social media in general. Sometimes they're best left ignored, more prominent ones should get called out if and when they appear too biased. The other Twitter based ones are like reality TV "stars", who go on to appear on other reality TV shows, when outside that circle they're nobodies.

This last week they've all got a bit giddy and a lot of our fans have took the bait.

Cheers !

Not got a lot of time to go digging at the moment. What else do we have?
Well I’ve heard mention of that guy Leterme for a start.

Yup, 'you guys disagree because you support City' - so arrogant he can't even accept that he might be wrong and the corrupt ****s at UEFA might have stitched us up. Arrogance should not be part of journalism.

With regard to the last sentence, it appears that " arrogance is a fundamental part of British journalism ".

While I have no respect for his journalism and think his coverage has been unobjective and clearly coloured by his existing dislike towards Manchester City and our owners, I do hope some City fan hasn't taken things too far on tiwtter.

The CAS review will shut these clowns up, and some of them will be making grovelling apologies if what the club says has happened turns out to be the case.

Pointing out their hypocrisy or poor reporting is fine, arguing about their articles is fine, but don't take past that. Quite apart from it just not being OK, it just makes the rest of the fanbase look bad if some twitter users go feral.

What does he expect? He is dealing with football fans not a political debate with students of Oxford or Cambridge. Many fan's are as emotionally attached to their clubs as their family and if someone keeps on sneering, belittling and disrespecting them, while many will, respond back verbally a few will want to hand out a bloody nose.

Legally none of us can condone violence but I bet even the mildest City fan wouldn't secretly think well done if one of those cockroaches got a slap.

...there'll always be at least one utter buffoon who gets carried away with themself and ends up responsible for crass actionable filth like this...

That's far the most significant point about the timing - he'd been waiting to try crapping on celebration.

They've changed back to the City have no fans, struggling to sell Wembley tickets etc. From one attack to another, there is no end to these fuckers relentless attacks.

Ignore it, it's because they're jealous and scared. Less fortunate people usually rail against their betters, it's human nature.

The best way to deal with it is not to pay these muggles any attention.

somethings happened

I am going to repost my plea from last week, as I think it is still very relevant.

Rob Harris is absolutely being disingenuous (well, lying, really) with his remarks implying he has simply brought balanced reporting to the fray, and he may very well be falsely insinuating that he has caught inappropriate abuse for his obvious anti-City reporting. But this is still an important reminder that it is never an acceptable response to threaten or abuse the reporter. And doing so just plays in to his hands — allowing him to further call City supporters “toxic” and “vile” and use the instances of abuse as examples.

I know every blue is incensed by the vitriol, hypocrisy, and rampant dishonesty of the many pundits, reporters, “journalists”, and talking heads commenting on UEFA’s ruling and City in general, including attacking supporters directly.

I am also disgusted by the extent and ferocity of it — the Harris twins, Delaney, Conn, and a few others have been especially bad since the announcement.

But let’s not lower ourselves to their incriminations and play in to their desired narrative by advocating violence toward those people or their property, or threatening them on social media. It’s obviously not going to be allowed on the forum (or those platforms, as it’ll eventually be reported) but, much more importantly, it is not right and is certainly not the way to show the world that the press’ venomous attacks on us and the club should be denounced and repudiated.

We can discuss whether the club has been a “soft touch” when it comes to handing the media, or if we as supporters should be more vociferous with our defence of the club and rebukes of many “journalists” that are most blindingly critical of City, without succumbing to the more base, juvenile, entirely counterproductive, and plainly wrong methods of showing our disgust.

Let’s show them that they can’t manipulate us in to being the sort of supporters they want the world to think we are.

We *are* City, after all, and we are some of the best supporters the world has ever seen — let’s show everyone why during this challenging time, without violence or unnecessary aggression.

Don’t give them what they want, especially Nick and Rob. Let’s starve them of ammunition, not act as their their supply line.

NHarris' dribble has got an exchange in the twitter convo with Panja, with them exchanging comments about City saying they're not briefing people. Difficult to know, but I half expect there to be different views on what 'briefing' may mean.

There's also an FT chap, who was drawn in by the reference in the doctored statement. I assume at some point the FT have published something on this, but can't work out his point - which is largely neutral in tone (I think).

This cunnt will need to sleep with one eye open if he carries on baiting.
