I really hope gundogan doesn't start, he's too sloppy and too negative for my liking.

He’s definitely sloppy, lazy at times. When he’s on form he’s a joy to watch. When he’s not, he becomes dangerous to the team.

I think Valverde will start over Modric, he always does in big games this season. Real madrid without Valverde's energy struggle so I think he's nailed to start both legs against us. I also think Ferland Mendy will start over Marcelo. Zidane would be naive to start a rapidly declining Marcelo who's always been suspect at defending against Mahrez. Ferland Mendy is one of the best fullbacks defensively

Valverde’s class and if it wasn’t for a certain Rodri I’d be happy to see him play defensive midfield for City.

He's very good. Him and Rodri would've complemented each other perfectly in a double pivot. Would allow KDB to concentrate on attacking only as well

It really doesn't mean too much on whether he will start or not. I have seen Pep put other players up before the press & not start them although I hope he does.
