He is trying to distance UEFA from the IC and AC.

Funnily enough, Soriano did exactly the same recently in his interview...

Cerefin acknowledges ("as a lawyer") the legal process, recognising also CAS in the equation.

For me, this is MOST telling. He is legitimising CAS.

That tells me a deal has already been worked out/a verdict of City's acquittal is expected, which would certainly explain City's bullishness behind the scenes.

Whether that be under due process, 'irrifutable' evidence we have deliberately held back, or both.

We're being played. City aren't being done here.

Why would we be "being played"?

I really think we have to move this on from the G14 as its clearly a G3/4/5 at most who are attempting to shut the rest out.

No prizes for guessing their names.
I can think of 6 straight off. Liverpool, united, Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Juventus. Probably throw Arsenal in there too and the Milan teams..

The fact Ceferein has clearly been in discussions with City.

Coupled with Sorriano being at pains to point out we have "no problem with UEFA".

And Ceferein's / Panja's comments today, it feels like change is coming.
It certainly does but I can quite understand why UEFA gave us the ban then. Are they perhaps rather playing all the horses rather than our one?

My guess would be it's an internal power struggle between the I/C , A/C. and Ceferin. If it's true Ceferin tried to do a deal with us it may well have been behind the cfcb chambers back. The a/c could well have retaliated with the 2 year ban as a back us or sack us play.

Ah right that could've happened. It is not easy to get my mind around all these possibilities :-)

Isnt Ceferin just saying that if members of the "elite" are bought by mega wealthy owners, it would be their birthright to put as much money as they want into that club, Seems like Eufa logic talk to me.

In a crowded field, is there a bigger **** writing about City right now than Conn?
I hope he’s the first to be shown grovelling to the club and it’s supporters if we are proven to be innocent.
It’s quite amazing the work he put in regarding Hillsboro in an effort to show that Liverpool were innocent yet when the shit hits the fan regarding the club he supports, he’s the main instigator, stood in the front row, fingers dripping with it.
All the good work he’s done in the past counts for nothing anymore.

Could be.
I thought @tolmie's hairdoo comment about City being played here might be that we're being used to allow Ceferin to break the CFCB, or maybe something bigger as well.

I did think the 2-year ban smacked of the CFCB going all in on this.

I don't think the CFCB can be sacked while Ceferin proclaims their independence - the CFCB can be dissolved though, although that might need the main Exec to agree (theory only).

Its amazing how disingenuous Conn is. The CFCB is UEFA. It's a body of UEFA.
Moreover, it is common ground/knowledge that Infantino not only intervened but brokered the 2014 settlement. I have asked Conn to confirm that he asked Cerefin to explain how come Infantino obviously did intervene in 2014 and how this can all be revisited again six years on https://spiegel.de/international/world/gianni-infantino-worked-on-behalf-of-manchester-city-and-psg-a-1236418.html
