Some 116 people have tested positive, including 105 in England, three in Wales, six in Scotland and three in Northern Ireland.

Just two days ago there were 51 UK cases.

Downing Street said it is "highly likely" that coronavirus will now spread in a "significant way".

as you say the patient could be 60 or even 80,but if they came out and said 60 then thats going to spook a lot of people,the Government have one major focus and thats not to panic the public,as long as we go to work the country ticks over,,im not convinced in any way the Government have our best interests at heart,my guess is if they started random testing tomorrow then it would reveal thousands are infected

I am with you on this. I do not trust our government on this at all.

I will lay odds that when it all dies down we will have been shafted more than other European countries.

Politicans never learn that's the cover up that always does more damage than the deed,they should give the ages and the underlying health problems line,it will get out anyway

if their on about clossing the houses of parliment then their is something very serious that is not being told to the public,they expect us to carry on working and kids going to school but their dodging the bullets here

That there are already thousands infected in the UK, is to be expected. Germany's declared numbers essentially *doubled* today, and we are surely in a similar boat. If we are reporting 100 right now, there's probably another 1,000+ who don't even know they have it yet, and god know how many currently being tested.
 
The death rate in Italy is really taking off. 148 deaths out of 3800 or so confirmed cases. That is a high number and of those who have been tested positive, a lot will be in the early stages. If no more tested positive from today, I wonder how many more of those 3800 would die. I think we are being fed a load of bullshit by governments on this and the numbers are going to get scary very quickly. I don’t trust the Chinese numbers. Italian numbers will be more reliable. This could easily have a death rate of 10% or more. If they don’t get a grip of this soon, it will be out of control. There were only 1000 or so cases in Italy 5 days ago. Nearly 4000 now. How soon before 20,000 then 80,000?

It seems to double every 3/4 days. Simple maths looks very scary, this country is going to be like something out of a disaster movie by May unless something drastic happens. If the Chinese figures are anywhere near accurate and they are on top of it its because they have locked down millions. Not here oh no its carry on as normal but wash your hands lots. Sounds much like the kind of shit they were told before being sent over the top at the Somme.

I think this could unravel quite precipitously in the next 7 to 14 days.
 
If they play games behind closed doors do we get our season ticket money refunded, also it would affect FFP this year, so maybe they could give us a bit of leeway and we can splash as much as we want ;)

What a waste of bloody time that idea is!

They’ll all spend 90 minutes spitting and clearing their noses out on the pitch, rolling around in that mucus all game as they all play the game and dive about all over the shop, wiping their noses and sweat with their hands and high giving their teammates, they’ll all be in contact with each other all game especially at set pieces, all touching each other and sweating on each other, all heading and picking up the same ball that’s rolling through all the mucus they’ve spat and snozzed out all game!

...but no hand shakes at the start, that’ll make all the difference! Haha
