Thats what Benny from Crossroads is doing now

Yes Dom very puzzling, the one that always stood out for me was David Davies, reading the local news one minute ,a few years later he's top dog at the Fa,yet his only claim to fame was marrying miss m/cr city in the early seventies.

Must be his law connections, his father's a prominent lawyer and Juventus got themselves into trouble around that time. Lawyers get into certain social circles and he's been pushed into each position in dubious fashion at each step, so clearly he's been introduced to the right people through that line of work.

We're all thrashing about in the dark and speculating about what's going on. That's why I come on this thread umpteen times a day basically to see if Prestwich_Blue has posted in, because ever since I joined this forum I KNOW that PB's Is an opinion I can trust. He certainly does not make up information and his opinions are never anything like the wild, mendacious and offensive efforts of some who need not be named. So I take very seriously indeed PB's assertions about the "evidence" the IC and AC have and do not have and I take very seriously indeed his assertions about his sources. I treat with absolute contempt the posts of anyone who's contributions amount to no more than a scarcely veiled attempt to question the reliability and credibility of the most respected member of this forum.

I do believe UEFA are in a pretty grim mess on this issue. FFP seems to me to have no basis in law at all. UEFA clearly seems to have enacted rules that are unlawful. More than that it seems to be reopening a case dealt with nearly 6 years ago with no evidence at all of breaking even those rules and is prepared to use them with no pretence of protecting City's financial stability but obviously to inflict serious commercial damage on the club. This is action taken by a governing body dominated by City's commercial rivals who claim that they have established a "court" which is tatally independent despite being appointed and financed by UEFA and only allowing appeals to a court of arbitration. This last point was found unlawful and a violation of human rights recently in a Brussels court because arbitration has to be a process acceptable to and agreed by both parties. Ceferin appears to be doing his best to assure everyone that CAS will give an impartial decision and he may be right but UEFA can't get round the truth that City are not interested in arbitration but acquittal and that will probably have to come through another, real, court of law. I suspect nothing will be left of FFP by then.
good post

Interesting that Juventus , proven cheats , are now one of the prominent members of the cult, who make the decisions regarding the future prospects of others .

Greed is such a driver for some.

Both Ceferin and Agnelli's fathers were lawyers too, so not a stretch to suggest they could have shared parts of social circles at least in a Venn diagram manner.
