Haha. 'Lad"?? I wish.....been a season ticket holder for decades, since the Platt lane end days.
figour of speach,i get called " lad " at work and im 55,i started in the platt lane when my grandad used to take me through with him for nowt and say " future supporter" circa 68 when i was 3 .

Made the point yesterday despite Pep being outstanding he doesnt understand Manchester derbies in any way shape or form.
That to me is a big issue.

That’s what I’ve been doing all day. Told them that maybe it will give them some momentum for their crunch match against the mighty LASK on Thursday

Haha!!!!....cheers....gives me another topic of conversation for tomorrow.

Ha. Probably sat near you!! I’m a bit older unfortunately!!!

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but Mike Dean’s performance was a consummate display of smoke and mirrors, aided and abetted by his assistant minions.

1. Sterling who had a pretty poor game was hacked at repeatedly in the opening minutes, Dean who has previous with Raz (Bournemouth) shrugs his shoulders and let’s them play on.
2. Gündogan who again had a poor game nicks the ball away from their latest star, the ball is travelling forwards, Dean seems happy to play on but as the reds do their usual whinging he reacts and appears to think “yeah why not”. Fernandinho is booked for complaining. Seconds later City are a goal down.
3. With City breaking, Agüero lays the ball off and is hacked down by Maguire, he would later leave the field and have an ice back on his knee, no yellow card. As it’s becoming more and more obvious Dean is helping them just as he did Spurs away in our last defeat it dawns on him he must do something outlandish to keep the objectivity illusion going.
4. Step forward Fred, Otamendi catches him and although he goes down theatrically it looks a pen, with City breaking forward he pulls them back to book Fred, was Dean stopping the game in the hope he got a word in his ear “penalty” or was he grand standing knowing full well the red unwashed would be aghast? And thus the illusion is kept going.
5. The assistant bell ends have been told repeatedly on tight calls don’t raise your flag, Agüero is played in one on one, bell end raises his flag, instinctively everyone hesitates but Agüero keeps his cool and slots home, De Gea doesn’t move, double bluff? The TV replays show Agüero level, then up pops a magic hand drawn line to show Agüero “shoulder” is offside but no corresponding vertical line is drawn to the defender, very quickly the game is re-started. Now the cynic in me wonders if the VAR referee had sussed the situation, knew the Lino had fucked up and also knew Utd would kick up a huge stink “we stopped playing” etc, City then go on and win and there’s a national enquiry. Hence the lesser evil is to rule out what appeared a perfectly good goal.

tin foil hat stuff ? Maybe, maybe not.
100% pal

We won a Cup last weekend. Before the takeover we went 35 years without winning a bean. The hyperbole is ridiculous on this forum.

Not to mention the domestic clean sweep last year!! As for Pep not understanding the meaning of the derby - he managed Barcelona v Real Madrid FFS

So beating United is still the high point of your season is it?

Getting beat three fucking times off them is certainly not one either and especially when essentially they are shit.

You can hint at bigger fish to fry all you like but we have fucked the league by losing to shit teams like Norwich, Wolves x 2, Newcastle and a very poor Utd team x2.

We have a chance at three cups still but the league is always my priority, we do need to win the Champs league if nothing else to just shut the critics up but it is such a corrupt and horrible entity that I don't really care tbh.

Yes, he understands that Derby fine being a Catalonian.

The fact he once gifted them a carling cup match by playing youth players and helping them recover some sort of form afterwards, also hints at not kicking the ****s when they are down attitude, whereas us as fans would have had them fucking buried.

The 2nd leg this season was a stage-managed 1-0 defeat, he did enough to get us through, the fact that we took our foot off the gas at 3-0 in the 1st leg when we should have buried them by 6 or more could also be attributed to him saying we have done enough lads, keep out of harms way for 45 mins etc

Got a draw at Newcastle mate :)

And he gets paid to manage the team, the best way that he sees appropriate .

I absolutely hate the rags and their fuckwit lemming supporters but imo it's not worth getting upset about what really was a game which wasn't that important in the bigger scheme of things .

As we haven't been able to , I hope that other teams stop the festering pile of shit from getting either a CL or even Eufa Cup place , which will give me so much pleasure .

...and would never play a weakened Barcelona side against Madrid.

City vs Utd on the other hand...

KDB missing was the problem and he was injured. However, would you have preferred Pep to play Bravo then because it was Ederson who cost us the game. NOT that I have any axe to grind with Eddy

Aye, we're "shity" again and the manager is a loser

Teams and managers have insufficient control over a half of a game for them to 'see out' a winning or satisfactory position. VAR, Whistling Wankers, diving bastards, players who fall over when the force wouldn't waft a piece of paper off the table, and a propensity shoot either or both of our own feet when the only danger is being knocked unconscious by a blade of grass. all conspire to thwart the best laid plans.
