From a Chinese report.

-1 person was infected by a fellow bus passenger at a distance of 4.5m
-Virus can linger in the air for 30+ minutes.
-Can last on surfaces for days at 37'c, 2-3 days on glass, fabric, metal, plastic or paper
-survive more than 5 days in bodily fluids and poop.

Still watching... more updates will be added as I watch.

This shows how little is known about its longevity on a surface, reports range from 10 minutes to the times stated above. One of the most worrying things about this outbreak is the lack of good information dispensed by governments about how to put a barrier between ourselves and infection, specially those who are at real risk.

It's making me think two things, first they are just allowing it to run it's course and it'll kill off the weak non productive members of society, or that they are so in tune with global economics the loss of a few million cattle shouldn't stop the march of consumerism.

Either way I don't fully understand what I am writing here other than I can sense it's either of the two.

How can they do that?
Can a govt tell all banks and mortgage lenders to stop taking payments?
Well yes lol. It's not called "government" for nothing.
They also made (and are still making with any willing company) a deal with various digital smart-working, internet data and digital information/entertainment companies to give free access to their apps for 1 month or more to companies, organizations and students that live in red zones (though red zone amounts to the whole of Italy so I don't know how that will work). Amazon, Vodafone, various newspapers, Webex, IBM and lots of others have agreed in some way.

The Wall will save them...

"So I'm a conservative, one thing I have a hard time with is rationalizing."

Yeah a warm April will kill eh @worsleyweb

Your risk of infection currently is if you put 70 million people in a room, what are you chances of bumping into 300 of those infected people?

The answer is 0.00042%.

It is almost guaranteed that not a single person who attends Cheltenham will have Coronavirus and even then that single person would have to sneeze on you.
That is not how most of it is spread, touching surfaces on public transport to get there and back, anywhere you touch then touch your face touching anything can give you it,i have picked it up from the wembley trip

As for me i have gone backwards a bit today, nature of the beast i guess

Saw today they are expecting thousands more to get it but they won't bite the bullet and cancel sport

I was thinking about when my age group where kids and we had chicken pox parties, one kid would it or measles etc so we were all sent to their house, get infected and go home and cuddle up on the settee with your siblings and get over it,wonder if that is what boris has in mind

No you should probably listen to the CDC and WHO who don’t have a political dog in the fight.

Even then the U.K. governments own figure suggest millions could be infected.

Are there any figures that I’ve posted that you dispute? And I’m not in Dubai any more than you’re in Brussels.

nope there isn’t.

I am actually interested in the stats for the Middle East when you posted them earlier . I can imagine given it’s a hub where people travel through and Indeed work from all over the world , so I would expect there to be cases from travellers .

are there any stats or analysis you could share with us about person to person transfers in the area.

I am only interested to further the hope that heat slows its spread.
