I hear it doesn't like alcohol either, so keeping it full of that might help (obviously not while driving or at work).Yet you're also being advised to keep drinking water to flush any germs into your stomach. Your mouth is only really dangerous if it's dry.

I’ve been thinking, we may all change our usernames soon so they are more accurate to our current states of health.

Yes, which is why they're recommending that you keep your mouth moist (to stop air carrying the particles into your lungs) and keep swallowing (to wash them into your stomach acid where they can't survive).Your mouth also leads to airways.

Sanitizing lotion would make them too slippery methinks.@Indaparkside and @SWP's back please also be sure to wear masks, surgical gloves, cover yourself in sanitising lotion, and observe Marquess of Queensberry rules.

Yeah I don't see why people are getting ripped off on alcoholic handwashing when a bottle of cheap vodka is far better value for money.I hear it doesn't like alcohol either, so keeping it full of that might help (obviously not while driving or at work).
80% will be cheering on Indaparksidecan one of you make sure it is live streamed on YouTube just in case crowds are banned .

Yeah, I get that mate. My post was in response to ‘not believing a word the Chinese say’. Whilst we could never replicate it, I think their response to this has been pretty amazing. That’s as much Chinese society than the government that have put the restrictions in place. I would be interested in what the South Koreans have done. I have to admit I find it pretty scary that we may be just a couple of weeks behind Italy. I was following a tweet thread from an Italian medic this morning and if you believe what he was saying, Lombardy health service is in meltdown because of the numbers that require ICU. The elderly are being triaged according to potential outcome. Not everyone is getting treated. I know it’s twitter but bloody hell it was intense if true. We really need to be thinking hard as individuals how we should modify our life over the next few weeks to try and slow this down. Doesn’t matter if young or old, this has the potential to hurt any of us be it personally, our parents or our grandparents. They’ve validated the numbers they can validate. I think it would be incredibly naive to think they have complete access to all data and areas for full validation.
And that’s coming from someone that has dealt first hand with how Chinese authorities (notice I am not referring to medical professionals) can manipulate data for medical crises far, far less impactful than this. See my previous posts concerning China and MSF.

There are a few that require no changes...I think my user name is quite apt for this crisis :-D
To be honest, not sticking your fingers in your mouth in the first place, sounds like a more straightforward and inherently less risky strategy.Yes, which is why they're recommending that you keep your mouth moist (to stop air carrying the particles into your lungs) and keep swallowing (to wash them into your stomach acid where they can't survive).

Now, now, dont go down that route.Sanitizing lotion would make them too slippery methinks.
