Never ever should we regard FFP as something favorable to us now that it may be in our best interest to do so. That double standard would undermine the credibility and the very fabric of all that is good about our club. We all know it's a protectionist scam. Look at how many teams have rich owners that would never go broke that can't possibly dream of becoming big clubs because of the ffp structure, and worse still, the fans who have no hope. Ya that's fair alright. It should be fought and not by us alone, agreed, but what puzzles me is why there is not a consortium of football clubs that are challenging this. Publicly at least.
If as you say "I would love a situation where there was genuine fairness in football but its not going to happen." happens to end up being the case with this version of FFP permanently in place I would rather walk away from being a fan than compromise to that. Am I naive? no, hopeful, yes.
