Would it be helpful if the government commissioned a major piece of work from a polling organisation in conjunction with Cheltenham Racecourse and possibly a medical research college? They must have info on people who are attending the festival. So, carry out a major survey (5,000 + people?) who attended the festival, or live in Cheltenham, own pubs or hotels in Cheltenham etc. Monitor them and find out how many become ill. It would surely provide useful information on how the virus spreads in large crowds. It could be too late to impact on this crisis but might provide valuable information for the next one.

Are people still going on about this? Breathing problems? Pah. Literally anyone could die if they stop breathing! Literally all 70 million Britons are expected to die by the end of their lives. FACT - It's just the sniffles. FACT - None of the birds round mine caught the HS1 Flu. FACT - Yet another MSM plot to delay Brexit. Drs and Nurses and other metropolitan elites - the people demand you GET IT DONE!! Or it's TRAITORS GATE for the lot of you! #TeamCambridge
Yeah, it seems to have been in the news a bit recently so people are still going on about it.
Strange eh?

More then likely it is in the 35% range if not higher.
Majority of people with symptoms will have been getting tested a week back, now being overwhelmed the majority will be being told to self isolate.

Do we know how many tests have been done on a daily basis?
This might give you some idea.

Hmmmm. Hadn't thought of that. Worrying again if true (not that it isn't worrying anyway!)

But is there any evidence that testing rates are declining? I would have thought perhaps the opposite was true and that they were more inclined to test people now, as opposed to previously when they would only test you if you'd been to China or northern Italy or had snogged @karen7 etc.

why so fixated on Cheltenham ?

there will be hundreds of thousands in and out of shopping centres today
hundreds of thousand on and off trains/tubes ...

If anyone is concerned by a lack of pasta etc. at the supermarkets then you might be lucky like me and find the panic buyers forgot about fresh ravioli, so I picked up half a dozen packs and they last for about 2 months in the fridge anyway.

It's bloody annoying walking up and down aisles and questioning if there's going to be stuff there in a few days time or if the idiots will have made a run on canned tomatoes next.

Spain has over 2000 cases now with 47 dead. Madrid has over half of the confirmed cases yet today and yesterday 3-5000 Madrid fans are going to Liverpool. Madness.
It really is stupid of UEFA to let the games go ahead, they are literally putting money before not spreading it all around europe

More then likely they are only testing people who are over a certain age or need hospital treatment.

Well 111 were a bag of wank. Got a doctor calling me back in the next hour. Coughing and wheezy tight chest now.

Something not right!

try not to spin out too much as anxiety about the issue can mimic the symptoms especially on a tight chest not easy I know - good luck with the result
