My lad is on a school trip from Cornwall, this is a rescheduled trip from the original west ham fixture that was postponed due to storm Ciara.

It's not really the match that bothers me, but the journey there and back on a coach.

I don't want to tell him he can't go so I have been quietly hoping it would be called off.

Mrs works in a hospital and I'm a postie (the silence is deafening from royal mail)so it's kind of inevitable that we get it as a family.

At this juncture there's no such thing as over-reacting to it. Everything that we don't do kills people.
You need to understand that we don't have a vaccine for this and we wont have a vaccine for this for 12 to 18 months, so it's like influenza with no vaccine = mass deaths.

If Mendy is self isolating then how is it fair to play on Saturday? It’s not an illness or injury, it’s nothing more than precaution in the interest of public health and we shouldn’t be penalised for that. We didn’t play Arsenal because a few of their players were self isolating so hows this different? How many players do you need self isolating before it’s postponed? Leicester have 3 and their game is yet to be called off, Arsenal had 5.

What sort of logic is that? Acting to deal with the matter is taking the matter seriously. not acting is chicken liken . .

And it's not like I want to look at the death count in 6 months and say 'I told you so'. But maybe you should and be ashamed for how you're acting now.
Have a think, check it out with the World Health Organisation, consider the graphs of expansion, look at what works in country's ahead of us in this pandemic and look at what doesn't work.
At that point you'll be informed and I truly believe you'll take a more considered and different view.

I think it's going to be cancelled with the Mendy situation. If his relative have Corona the game will probably be cancelled, if Mendy himself has Corona the league will 110% be cancelled. No doubt

city will call the game off in the morning and once a player has been in contact with somebody with the virus then the whole squad should be on lock down because mendy been training all week mixing and unknown other stuff so it would be crazy to play the game and not isolate the squad

Yep, there's a great deal of unknown about it and that's all the more reason for us all to act with general respect for each other - by giving our friends and loved ones some distance for the next 12 / 18 months. It's not fun but it's the right thing to do.

If Mendy is now in isolation then the rest of the squad and staff should be , looks like the Premier league will be suspended the competition until further notice with tomorrows emergency meeting , the "stakeholders" will have to bite the bullet and put peoples health before their wallets.
