Have you, or anybody you know, got the virus yet?

I’m not 100% but I think I’ve got it. I have all the symptoms. But I can’t get tested, so I’ve been self isolating and working from home

So if 30,000 have it and only 10 have died (sadly) that means it is not that bad? I honestly think tens and tens of thousands have it or have had it and it has been around for weeks.

Not really, the death rate in Italy is over 5% even if it's 30,000 that's not many spread over a large area as the numbers climb the death rate will

Anyone know the best kind of thermometer to get to take temp at home?
Don't waste your money on the strips that go on your forehead, get any one that goes under your tongue, the cheapest one will do,if you can't get one feel your forehead with the back of your hand,if you feel really warm chances are you have a bit of a temperature,as above drink plenty, any kind of painkiller will help, the old fashioned wet flannel on your forehead will help

Out of interest, if you got tested, what difference would it make? You’re doing exactly what you would be told to do if you were positive. If you were negative, you might pick the virus up returning home from being tested.

Genuine question but how is it rife in prisons? I don't get how it's got from Wuhan, to places like Northern Italy to the prison population in the UK?

No clue, assume prison visitors and staff who may have travelled abroad at some point.

Prisoners are being relocated all the time. Seems pretty easy to see how the spread happens?

The government also can't be seen pumping money into the welfare of prisoners before those on the outside.

Seemingly, even if that puts its officers at risk in the process!

Around January ago over a few days I felt absolutely awful. Started after I got home from work on a Friday sweating, feeling knackered and a massive headache. I never feel unwell or get flu symptoms so it was strange. It lasted the weekend then I have just felt knackered since, but think that’s more down to stress at work and other things going on.

Symptoms I had seem to match what this is like though, but guess most people won’t ever know unless they are tested. It’s probably been around a lot longer than the last few weeks/months

Make sure you drink plenty of fluids, not beer as that dehydrates you, unlikely you will be able to get paracetamol but ibrufen or panadol will do,take it every 4hrs and rest

thanks. I’ve honestly never felt so ill. Shortness of breath, dry throat/ cough and so on ........

hopefully I just have really bad flu. It’s not looking good worldwide and the complete in action by the government is worrying

Personally think this has been around alot longer in the UK, wonder how many deaths were classed as pneumonia over the past 4 months but was covid 19.
