Not sure that's the case tbh. My Gran didn't have a post mortem because she was in a home and it wasn't unexpected.Olden folk die of a variety of illnesses including respiratory failure but all of them will have to undertake post mortem examinations if the doc has not seen them for their illness within the last 14 days.

I am not sure if it has been mentioned so apologies if it has as the thread is moving at a fast pace. Spain are getting ahead of their game and treating this virus with the respect it deserves by closing all social gathering spots like cafes and bars on the Costa Blanca and the Balearics islands and from midnight this evening Benidorm will also be on a bar ban for two weeks. It will hit the areas hard but they are prioritizing as they see fit and good luck to them. I do not think the ban extends to the hotel bars.

All of that and the constant statements that they have done much more, much earlier, with much more wisdom than previous responses to viral outbreaks and that they have put the US in a very strong position as opposed to most other countries in the world.You mean anything Agent Orange blathered about?

If the doctor had not seen grandma within 14 days and treated her for the illness that caused her demise then the doctor could not legally issue a med cert to permit burial or cremation. Apologies for your loss mate.
