I do wonder if there’s something to this behavioural science stuff though? From what I can gather, today has seen very few people in railway stations, on the tube, at museums and the like and going into work. So, whilst they’ve ‘done nothing’ things are seemingly ‘being done’. Getting people to take responsibility for this is always going to engender a more positive response than imposition.So the available data has so drastically deviated from expected trends today as to lead them to introduce measures they indicated would be saved until the right moment... yesterday.
This is no reflection on you specifically, but speaking as a data scientist, in the technical language common to my field...
That is ****ing unlikely.
I haven’t ventured out tonight but I wonder if it is a typical Friday night out there?
