why have a title and no relegation ? the league hasnt been finished if you have a winner than you must have a loser (relegation)

If there not a thing we as fans can do about it (PL hand Dippers the trophy), at least let it be fair. They have 2 games left that if they win those 2 remaining games, they max out of the points, that it, their title.

Now if they just cancel season whatever, but then claim Dippers are 22 points ahead and give them the title, without even letting us see if they would win their 2 remaining games or not. I be super arse about it.

I dunno, I guess I just want a closure you know, like to make sure that Dippers win their remaining 2 games.

The best scenario is let the PL resume when this virus thing calm down. City win all their remaining games. ...... Dippers lost few games then draw 5 games. Leaving them 1 point behind from getting the trophy like last year. Haha, just as long as they don't get the six pts needed to win.

And where will you find 2 clubs to go along with that charade ? Either every game has to be played to complete the league season or all null and void.

Yes I’ve edited my post. Changed “avoid” to “limit”. It’s a question of which clubs the PL would least fear taking on in court.

Had a bit of a look on rawk to see how they were taking it.
Anyway they highlighted that if the season needs to be extended, this could affect player's contracts which typically run until the end of June.
Hadn't seen this mentioned on here and is another consideration.

Also, they inevitably were discussing the newspaper report today that they were to be handed the title as there was 'little' resistance from other clubs to doing this.
They were under the impression from somewhere that this resistance was coming from west ham and spurs. I would hope that we were resisting this too - and Leicester who can still mathematically win it

Seriously who here think PL will "NOT" give Dippers the trophy? If you think that PL with the VAR and dodgy reff decission to help them get this far in the league, then ofcourse PL will hand them the trophy. 100% Telegraph is right, they get it regardless they get the 6pts they needed or not.

We get the message you don’t need to repeat it You want to win the title and justify it by saying you got more points than anyone else could equal So you come up with this idiot plan to play two games well what happens if your current form continues? Look the season is fucked it’s void and in a few weeks that will be the decision
 
If the PL clubs decide consensually the outcome, it's legal. It's as simple as that.

We may hate the dippers as much as we like but better not get absolutely desperate that the PL does not award them the title. It's enough that their season has been seriously flattened and falls short of our two great seasons.
 
Even if the Premier League vote to award Liverpool the title:
Next season we still sing “you’ve seen the champions now Foff home”
 
Because of riots last year the Chilean FA cancelled the final six games of their league season, in November.

They gave Universidad de Chile the title despite them not mathematically winning it but didn’t relegate or promote any teams.

I wonder if the PL would follow that example?

It would be the most hollow victory of any trophy in the history of football!

CL do make alot of money right? As much as you don't want to admit it, but money will be the main reason why they won't avoid the season. Was there ever in CL history there ever be a void before?

The best scenario is the England goverment officially announce declare all professional sports to cancel the season. Then PL can use the excuse that the government officially told us to do so, so they can avoid lawsue from the Dippers and other teams.

Unless England government want sports to void, I'm willing to bet Dippers will fight tooth and nail to get this trophy. But like others say, PL favorite Dippers, they gonna get the trophy anyway.

You had me taken in with your first couple of posts. I mean, I thought you were a bit of a dick, but didnt think at that point you were a murderer.

But every other word is "dipper" this and "dipper" that and you've given the game away.

The league and football in general will have to be avoided. Including simeones famous victory.

Liverpool fans will just have to suck it up and accept City are still reigning champions. It will be good payback and a lesson in humility for putting english football through a 5 year European ban 35 years ago when those Chelsea fans got in their end.
