I don't suppose these people are doing any less than the people who went to the races or to church or shopping for bog roll, obviously they haven't observed the requirements laid down by the Spanish but the Spanish do invite millions of drunks over each year to get their cash off them.
I'm not having a go at the Spanish but I suspect this type of DM clickbait reporting doesn't give the full picture, who was the journalist? Is he OK because he's a bit posher than the Geordies?

Sometimes it's better to just accept that people are right.

My sister has just been taken away in an ambulance due to this fucking awful thing. She is 34 for fucks sake

This week we were all due to attend our wedding on Friday. The whole thing is fucked

Don’t give a shit about anything but my sister now, and my 10 year old nephew
Sending my very best wishes to you and your family. Your priorities are spot on.

I'm off today but some slag went into my office today saying she thinks she might have it, one of our colleagues is 63 with asthma swear ill drop the bitch!
yes shes in the wrong and shamefull,,the circumstances dont help anyone with expensive mortgages,,we need mortgage payments deferd for six months so in efect your mortgage will last another 6 months,,without this people will do what she has done

We get full sick pay mate, infact shes been on the sick for the past 6 months taking the piss, then comes in and does that.

I suspect a fair few who have been refusing to accept the seriousness won’t do so until it hits home in a similar example to yours.
Hope everything turns out ok for you and yours. Stay safe.

It’s also an indirect result of the governments everywhere trying to stop widespread panic by only allowing details of elderly people with underlying health problems facing death.

It’s telling that there are no reports direct from hospitals and patients that have been in hospital and have recovered.

I think it’s much worse than is being reported throughout the world. I’ve taken the route of self isolation for me and my family.

I can make money again when this is over and whilst I have enough to live on frugally, that is what I will be doing.

im led to believe blood presure is ok if your not taking the medication,if your in this bracket it may be worth a call to the NHS to check
Blood pressure is not ok,and if you are on medication for BP you must keep taking it.That was my advice from the Doctor's today.

What is the definition of 'essential travel'?
To put essential travel into context I've been in contact with 7 people who are at risk or at risk if infected so essential travel is to the shops to buy the family food and drop it in their driveway. Btw I'm living in my grandmother's for the next few weeks not at home as Christian is high risk. Working from home and I've shut the business down ahead of orders to protect staff.

What is the definition of 'essential travel'?
I was curious about this also and the best I found was in an article from the foreign office which basically says there is no exact definition:

Definition of ‘essential travel’
Sometimes we say that only essential travel is advised. Whether travel is essential or not is your own decision. You may have urgent family or business commitments to attend to. Circumstances differ from person to person. Only you can make an informed decision based on the risks.

I'd imagine it involves people going back to their own countries ect.

Fucking horrible atmosphere everywhere. The Daily Mail should be utterly ashamed if its reporting and scaremongering. This will be a tough enough period without making things far worse.

@karen7 I seem to remember many pages back you mentioned this?

Yeah there seems to be good evidence now about not using them for coronavirus, trouble is there is no paracetamol to be had

When i broke all my bones recently i was told not to take steroids or NSAD's as it will stop the bones from healing, the body does need some inflamation to heal

Came into work this morning expecting some updates. It's a sparsely populated office so rather than sat on a bank of desks with 4 people I used one of the empty ones a couple of meters away. Every single person came in and asked what I was doing, why I was being a "weirdo" another just laughed at me (who's been coughing her head off all morning).

People are just so ignorant to this it's unbelievable. We're supposed to be putting distance between ourselves for our own good and the good of others.

My grandmother has cancer and currently has a chest infection so excuse me for trying to take the only precautions I can.

Apparently home working will only be granted once the government has said no one is allowed out. Johnson was too vague in his language yesterday and it's delaying action because of it.

I’m glad some media outlets are being very stark in their warnings given the amount of people still not taking the risks seriously and seemingly ignoring the advice “as it’s only advice”. Unbelievably selfish from some folk.

People have to understand that presumably 50% of infected cases show no symptoms, zero, nill.

We simply don't know who is infected and who is not.
Even a tested person only knows her or his status 2 days in the past.

That means, we should behave AS IF we are infected to permanently socially behave on a good distance.

That's where we are right now, many countries just a bit ahead of UK.

Shocking the ignorance of some people mate. The irony being they’re probably the same halfwits who keep emptying supermarkets.
