The problem is that closing the schools would effect 75% of healthcare workers and we cant afford for them to start missing shifts and we definitely dont want them being sent to granny and granddad house.

Ha! Here’s a bit weird mate, under every Facebook post about the virus from local media there are two types of post;

1) Muslims thanking Allah for helping stop the virus (but not suspecting him/her/ze of starting the fucker in the first place)

2) East Asians saying “Thanks you Qatar, I love Qatar” in the hope that it makes them more employable or likely to get a raise.

Westerners don’t generally comment on anything online (wisely). Expats in person are just riding it out and enjoying the weather and stocks of booze they already bought, you pays your money you takes your choice sort of thing. The medical care is very good here and expats are generally not like the Benidorm wankers so they’re respecting the lock down.

But it does feel like a bit like a gilded prison now that travel restrictions are in place everywhere and I’m sad as I’ve just bought a nice house in RSA to which I was due to pick up the key over Easter and RSA revoked my visa.

Is it safe their kids mixing with hundreds of others each day? Then coming home to the health care workers and potentially spreading it?

Why not say now we will cover everyones business debt as businesses might cease trading rather than take on more debt when they stil have to pay their tax and debt bill from last year?

On fixed costs busineses have to pay they are being helped to cope with those with grants and money to help them keep people in jobs and pay wages

Individuals will get access to benefits they need(that system works really slow at the best of times)

Agree with the first point however I think this is just the start and more measures will be rolled out. Considering that none of this was on the agenda yesterday we have come a long way in 24 hours and we will probably need to do a lot more.
 
Yanks are sending money to every individual bank account,are we going to do it?

We wil look at it but more important to give support to keep employment going

Business can claim on insurance,the insurance companies have agreed with the government that they will pay out

The damage to the economy should be short term but significant
 
Our daughter from Brum has just this minute phoned to say all four of them are in isolation,as the grandsons school phoned her to say that Noah (7 years old) has a cough.Our daughter is also a teacher of Drama and her hubby works at the same college as her,so both have been isolated for 14 days plus our granddaughter Orla who is only 3 and a half years old.
Our daughter is convinced its just a dry cough and Noah doesn`t have a temperature,so hopefully its just precautionary.
My daughter will be climbing up the walls,as she loves her job.Trying to imagine 2 youngsters stuck indoors for 14 days.As long as they all stay well thats all we care about.

Hi Kaz, can you let us know which posts are your views and which are meant to be verbatim reconstructions of what you e just watched.
 
Well its a start and obviously the meat has got to be put on the bones, if the government does the job then I would think no normal person accepting a small tax increase when this eventually settles.

Yeah I purposefully left out the Champ as that will be a lot more difficult but the PL needs to act with regards to clubs like Barnet.

That was a question from a journo,obviously he called them americans
I am just posting what is asked,answered and what they are saying,can't do exact quotes as the press conference is moving so quickly and i am watching it live,i will find a link so you can watch the whole thing
