“Listen guys, don’t mean to scare anybody and obviously don’t shoot the messenger but my friend is pretty high up in the police force and has been told via the home office we are going on lockdown as of next week. 2 weeks to start with she’s been told. She’s just rang me now. What we do with this is up to us but I’m passing it on regardless and if it doesn’t happen then we have lots of food to eat. xxxxxx”

Not for me - it’s worked elsewhere and people need to adhere or it will cost lives.

Re: Schools

My wife who works in a hospital lab dealing with all the testing etc, was talking to another professional in a higher capacity - and taken with a pinch of salt, the government currently to not have the power/authority to close the schools en masse and need to pass a law to allow them to do this. They are going to get it through the HoC on Thursday and close the schools on Friday.

Apparently/allegedly etc........

Thought is worth sharing, as it makes a little bit of sense.

It makes no sense. If they say "close schools", schools will close.

I’m concerned , so many people buying as much stock as possible everyday when they’re already stockpiled - a daily trip to cure there boredom- yet so many vulnerable people will have very little when this lockdown really begins

Nutters, why aren't they at work? I'm at work and when I get home there is nothing left to buy.

We tried on Sunday and the shelves were empty after 12, tried on Monday night, empty. There is a spar garage near my work and they sell out of their toilet rolls etc by 9.

Had we not bought a load of toilet roll and pasta before this all started then we'd be taking days off work to go shopping.....

As proved by the panic buying swathes off the population are cunts who will take not a blind bit of notice unless they risk being hauled over the coals for it. They are being "run" until they can no longer safely accommodate staff/pupils and then that particular school has no choice but to close. My child's school have given the parents the option but will not be closing.
