That’s the scary thing. For most of our lives we live with an attitude that says ‘if we get ill with anything, then we will be treated well by the NHS and hopefully we will get better. Nurses and doctors will do everything they can to help us recover’. This situation is very different potentially. If the outbreak is not paused, our ICU capacity will be totally overwhelmed and doctors will have to choose who gets the Ventilator and who gets to die in the corridor on a trolley. That’s not being pessimistic, that’s just what’s happening in Italy who are only two weeks ahead of us in the contagion rates.Not disputing that in the slightest. All I'll say is by their nature hospitals will deal with the worst of it, and none of us are set up for something like this.
