Is it worth the government making a comment about Mother’s Day? We love our mum’s of course, but is it “essential travel”? You’d have to say no. But I reckon most of the country will still visit their mums at the weekend. Should they specifically advise that people don’t? I ask because I am yet to have this conversation with my mum.

If people.really need to be told that they shouldn't visit their (elderly) Mother's at this time then we really are fucked.

Not visiting an elderly relative at this time is a far better way of showing your love for them.

Completely randomly, I wonder how North Korea are coping with this? And I wonder what the North Korean news outlets are saying it is?
No planes have flown for 24 days with military activity only just starting back up. They claim to have no cases but "experts" find that unlikely, especially with the lack of military movement.

A fresh dilemma.

My two cats have reached the point of having the snip.

They’re bro and sis but instinct takes over, especially when there’s just two of them and he’ll try it soon.

The snip is booked next week but quite rightly the vets have been sending their oxygen to hospitals.

They only have a small amount left and can’t do it without.

There’s a chance it may be cancelled they said and then in a few months I’ll have cats with three eyes, two paws on each leg and four tails... basically the feline version of Merseyside.

There’s only one man I can call them....

I don’t mean just elderly mums, over 70 etc, I mean all mums.

You have way too much faith in our population! They DO need telling.

there were two cats playing by the river. One was called "one-two-three", the other "un-deux-trois". They both fell in. Only one made it to the bank and survived, the other drowned. Which one survived?

"one-two-three" survived, because "un-deux-trois-quatre-cinq".

Most nearly every hospital has a school near it in walking distance and some have schoopsn on site.

Wouldn't an option be to ise them for staff at said hospitals children to go to, then of any child did feel anxiett their parent(s) would be at hand if necessary to pop around and give reasuance.

Also experienced staff who deal with such child anxiety as being thrown into a new situation as a new learnignplace, teacher and classmate will have to be on hand at any that open

One aspect of the outbreak is we are all learning how little "paper" is really needed to blow one's nose, wipe yer arse or wipe up a spill on a kitchen worktop . The manufacturers may have coined it in now but by god when they find out how little we need them.............................

2.5m? What I suggested was a district in Manchester. WHO guidance is to test test test. Test everyone with symptoms, and then to trace and test contacts of those who test positive. The NHS can't do that at the moment. It's resource intensive. I think University students, medical students, biological science students could do that with staff and post grads. If we can't then it's my time I wasted, and 1 minute of Nancy Rothwell's time.

Test with what though? With all due respect, do you not think if they could do that they wouldn't just do that anyone. An email from Marvin from bluemoon won't make them think "oh shit yeah we might as well do that" and if they do then we are in serious trouble in the future under these potential "experts"
