Isn't that screwing lower league clubs who rely on revenue from Cup games to survive?

I'm pretty firmly in the "fuck football until this is over" camp, but the new out of China is that they're mass producing a test which takes 15 minutes and is just as simple as getting a prick on the finger and then it lights up like a pregnancy test.
If they mass produce those then it will completely change the conversation over closed door sport, youd just test everyone the morning of and if they're all clean then the match goes ahead.
I'm more interested in how it'll save lives, but I'm sure the premier league and co. Will be paying attention to it.
At which point does the current season become an irrelevance? Serious question
What if your lad and his team are all overage by the time they can resume playing - would it become irrelevant then?Never imho. My view is regardless of club affiliations we owe it to ourselves to finish what we’ve started. It’s different cancelling sports events that haven’t begun yet.
Just had news my lads rugby comp is being abandoned even though it had reached the semi final stage. Again, I think that’s bull; I think the organisers should have said we will guarantee to resolve these competitions the lads have been competing in all winter ahead of any fresh competitions. Just my view.
would the players get two years pay to complete one season? or,I think from a football point of view it might be time to start thinking that 2020 is a write off. Start the season again from where we are now in say January. Play one set of games a weekend with no midweek matches. Throw in the remaining FA Cup rounds and a couple of international breaks and that is 15/16 weeks. Enough to take us to the summer and Euro 2021.

Wouldn't wish to dampen your (understandable) enthusiasm but time will tell.It is an age banded team, but the age difference between the players will be the same if they have to play in 12 months mate, so I no, I deffo think they should get chance to complete what they’ve already played 6 or 7 matches to reach this stage of. I think it’s fair, and I also think psychologically it feels the right thing to do for the lads involved
VAR ruling out City goals for "proximity" violations of social distancing. How can you play football if they implement social distancing for possibly 12 months. There would be no tight marking, no tackling, no celebrating ( hugging, high fiving, ) no crowding around the ref. no treatment when a player gets injured.
The season has to be terminated now.

Boris talked about the test in yesterday’s press conference it’s based on anti bodies and if it works would determine if you had already had it, since some have without knowing, those that had would vs then been able to return to workI'm pretty firmly in the "fuck football until this is over" camp, but the new out of China is that they're mass producing a test which takes 15 minutes and is just as simple as getting a prick on the finger and then it lights up like a pregnancy test.

All that slick interpassing and tight ball control in tiny triangles must be too proximate violations. It should be those 40 yard lumps from defence over midfield so people like Mane and Salah can run after them at safe distances.VAR ruling out City goals for "proximity" violations of social distancing.
Yeah suppose they could rush through another rule no tackling also footballers should be 2 metres from another footballer in games and in changing rooms!
It’s baffling when you here sky and Neville Carragher saying the league has to finish even if it’s all done in 2 weeks in empty stadiums!
Maybe it’s just keep the charade up until it isn’t possible to play the rest of the season so they can tell the sponsors and don’t have to pay back the premier money.

Haven’t heard of that one sounds promisingThat's a different test which tests if you've had it, the one I'm talking about is just if you have it right now - but because it only takes 15 minutes, you can guarantee people are safe to play football with others.
