You could well be right, Karen. Almost by definition, there’s empathy and a strong sense of duty among nurses and doctors. I expect some of those who respond positively will do it despite it being an unwelcome intrusion.

'Critical incident' at UK hospital

A London hospital has confirmed a "critical incident" due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.

Northwick Park hospital in Harrow said its critical care unit has hit capacity due to the number of cases.

The northwest hospital has contacted neighbouring facilities to ask for help dealing with patients.
Don’t worry about it and go to the pub everybody else seems to be!

It makes your heart sink. It’s very early for this to be happening already.

Italian and British doctors and professors on the front line in Italy have been warning (pleading even) the UK about this all week the interviews with them all are all there on C4, BBC and SKY news websites they do not make for comfortable viewing and would avoid the scenes in the ICU units if you suffer from anxiety or are easily upset and just jump on the interviews.

Yet the people who habitually bemoan their lot, slag off their employers and go on strike are typically those with the greatest job and income security.
So when your employers are threatening your job and income security do you suggest rolling over and letting them get on with it? When the dispute inevitably resurfaces will we be still be classed as key workers?
