A 36-year-old NHS nurse, with no underlying health issues, is fighting for her life in hospital after contracting coronavirus.

Areema Nasreen is on a ventilator in intensive care in Walsall Manor Hospital in the West Midlands - where she has worked for the past 16 years.

The mother-of-three developed symptoms 10 days ago, starting with body aches, a high temperature and then a cough

On Friday, she tested positive for the highly contagious respiratory disease COVID-19, which has infected more than 300,000 people worldwide.

A doctor at the hospital confirmed to Sky News that his colleague was very sick and in a critical condition.

Got a call from a close friends son who’s disabled, saying his mum was dying, so rushed round and took her to stepping hill, she had it and spent a week in there with pneumonia symptoms, I got Ill no fucker came and all I got was weeks of shit tablets, told I had it off 111 still no help, then I got given a mix of medication similar to what Marvin has described, took four days to be in stock, a visit to bramhall medical centre for an Independent review, still coughing up super glue but alive and pretty sure I’m ok, wake up every night and spend about an hour chucking up shit. Every neighbour avoids even looking at me coz of the noises coming out of this house. But apart from that cool.

They did explain it. No offence but I’ll listen to the advice of the CMO, and this is precisely what the PM is doing. Whether Bluemoon’s finest agree with this advice is irrelevant.

It's just shorthand for "this wouldn't necessarily have been fatal if you hadn't had this other condition which could have killed you anyway". But a 36-year-old nurse with no underlying health conditions (edit) is seriously ill...

I know this is fucking highly unlikely but I’m a fit 50 year old and got a feeling I’ll be told to take a few weeks off with work shutting down for a bit, need volunteers I’d help out. All hands on deck I guess.

The government have either got this very right or very wrong. I hope they are right but think they are wrong

The shit keeps on coming,so long as it is not greem sputum you are ok,the cough does ease off a bit as time goes on,except the odd coughing fits then bets are off from any orifice at the same time lol,can i lol,i just have to laugh
