Maybe they have but maybe they are all indoors with no test?
Maybe they were right about big outdoor events not making any difference, but I find it very hard to believe

She was talking about case counting. Anyone who doesn't have a positive COVID-19 test isn't counted in the UK.

So am I and the more beds that are in use and the less resources become available, that 'underlying health conditions' group becomes broader and broader. Will a toothache become an underlying condition?

Yeah thats my bad, bit of a brain lapse, just had the often quoted figure of <1% in my head, when the reality is that only 0.10 per 100,000 ended up in the ICU because of Flu last year.

So even less would have died.

A bit simplistic that mate. My father in law has late stage COPD and has been given not long. He also has Alzheimer's. His family have decided that it's best not to try to treat him if he takes another downturn. There's countless people in care homes in this predicament.

Now if "George" (made up name) gets a chest unfection, he won't be tested and it will see him off. And if the infection is Coronavirus, it will never be recorded.

That is not what i said,she said we are counting the most sigificant illness in our figures,i have never said or implied anything differently so do you mind

I accept that but I don’t understand how. Particularly when they have to get there, get back, go for food drink etc.

I think the lack of testing/serious symptoms explains it better than 60 thousand people meeting for 3 days on the trot in cramp conditions not having an impact on the spread

Yeah - those at number 1 went off to their holiday home in Wales on Friday morning. They took a massive trailer with their chest freezer on it and all the stuff they have previously ransacked from local supermarkets.

And maybe the countless professors and highly regarded experts from countries all over the world, who agree with the football supporters and think the UK's actions have been wreckkessly negligent, are all wrong as well. After all.

Just because something sounds obvious to the ill informed doesn’t make it so. That’s my point.
 
My wife is one of the ones who will have to have 3 months behind locked door, I have the potential to pick this up through work, where the hell will I go to self isolate if I get it. I’ll have to stay in the bedroom for 7 days :(
Apparently 67 firefighters are off at the moment, that’s 3 stations worth, we are undermanned as it is, we are going to be struggling to man pumps soon I bet.
