WHO is estimating a mortality rate of 3.4% nearly double the 2% they initially estimated. The original estimate was already well more than double the mortality rate of flu.
Already 20x that of flu mate. Not double, 20x.

with the cheltenham festival going ahead and the information about the spread of this coronavirus it's strange how cheltenham and ireland has not had a massive spike of cases yet.
They're shut for 15 yr olds and over, because thy can take care of themselves. They say keping younger children at home will take people out of the health and social services. My brother is in Stockholm, was just speaking to him earlier. Can’t believe all your schools aren’t even shut yet.
getting tired of "underlying health condition".
She was talking about case counting. Anyone who doesn't have a positive COVID-19 test isn't counted in the UK.The medical lady says it depends how you count the death figures,we are counting the most serious ones,i take that to mean what i have been saying about not eveybody who dies will have this as cause of death on their death certificate, that is why she doesn't want people to compare the numbers with other countries

Maybe random posters on a football forum don’t know better than this country’s best experts after all?Maybe they have but maybe they are all indoors with no test?
Maybe they were right about big outdoor events not making any difference, but I find it very hard to believe

A bit simplistic that mate. My father in law has late stage COPD and has been given not long. He also has Alzheimer's. His family have decided that it's best not to try to treat him if he takes another downturn. There's countless people in care homes in this predicament. That’s really not what she said. What she said was that, given how relatively few people we’ve tested, it’s likely that our ‘death rate’ will look higher than other countries. Therefore, looking at numbers of dead is a more comparable indicator.
What you’re suggesting is that the entire medical establishment from coroners down will be telling lies on people’s death certificates. They are not and they will not.
That is not what i said, she said we are counting the most sigificant illness in our figures,i have never said or implied anything differently so do you mindThat’s really not what she said. i am going to try and find the text of it,of course they will not be counted if they dont have itShe was talking about case counting. Anyone who doesn't have a positive COVID-19 test isn't counted in the UK.

Yeah - those at number 1 went off to their holiday home in Wales on Friday morning. They took a massive trailer with their chest freezer on it and all the stuff they have previously ransacked from local supermarkets.Apparently people who’s kids can’t go to school have decided to go on holiday
Thank you, finally somebody gets itA bit simplistic that mate. My father in law has late stage COPD and has been given not long. He also has Alzheimer's. Now if "George" (made up name) gets a chest unfection, he won't be tested and it will see him off. And if the infection is Coronavirus, it will never be recorded.
And maybe the countless professors and highly regarded experts from countries all over the world, who agree with the football supporters and think the UK's actions have been wreckkessly negligent, are all wrong as well. After all.Maybe random posters on a football forum don’t know better than this country’s best experts after all?
Just because something sounds obvious to the ill informed doesn’t make it so. That’s my point.I accept that but I don’t understand how. Particularly when they have to get there, get back, go for food drink etc.
I think the lack of testing/serious symptoms explains it better than 60 thousand people meeting for 3 days on the trot in cramp conditions not having an impact on the spread
Does grammar policing count as a creative way of being isolated?you've peaked my interest but you need to stop making a mountain out of a molehill.
