I didn't know any of this but remember wondering why Roma allowed themselves to be bummed in successive summers by Liverpool.

This will be worth keeping an eye on for certain.

Do you know anymore than what is on that Twitter link PB?

Not really. But there's some evidence of a link between the rags & Inter as well. Lukaku, Sanchez & Ashley Young, plus the former United COO, Michael Bolingbroke, was CEO at Inter.
 
I have been mulling things over (probably too much!) during the current Covid 19 situation.
The Glazer family (gawd bless 'em) have been extracting money from the rags to support their lifestyle and prop up their shopping malls.
Meanwhile another group of Americans are investing in the dippers.
Wouldn't it be ironic, if by some circuitous route the rags were funding the dippers...

Admittedly it's a nothing story designed to generate clicks but the way it's phrased seems like a not so subtle way of hinting at the "luck" Liverpool have benefited from this season. Maybe some journalists are aware of it too or maybe I'm reading into it too much. Probably the latter as I doubt a lot of thought goes into John Cross's articles to be fair.
 
It just goes to show...what a smart cookie luis Suarez was ..a world class striker,desperate to win a league title, contracted to Liverpool...part of the Cult...but he could see the title wasnt happening ...his agents probably advised him to do it...but ,as means to escape the Cults Contract..he did it with such style..6 step Suarez plan(sssp)

If he had stayed at Anfield he would still be waiting for his first title...he knew he couldnt just walk,so after the racist slur incident with utds left back...his contract prob didnt allow for any further major misdeamanours...so to break it.....he did the above.
Very smart move Suarez......not sure about the morals,but hey ho.
