The Labour Party

Indeed they shall. The three you quoted back at me will like your posts.

The rest will see an angry person outraged at antisemitism, yet accepting of islamphobia due to a technicality of definition.

They’ll also see a person defending the governmental approach even though they had a month’s head start on other nations’ approaches.

It’s up to the people that read the thread, but I’m confident that most will see it that way.

No one is or has defended anti Muslim bigotry but seeing as though the only evidence so far is Baroness Warsi, it’s not comparable to the many whistle blowers, MPs, staff and members who have come out and said there’s a serious problem, including John McDonnell, is it?

You attack the government because you hate Tories, it’s just what you do. You’d attack them no matter what they did because you’re sad and think politics should be like football.

Nobody has defended labour on antsemitism at any point. We've just dared to suggest there are some other shady things going on as well. I like you, but you are impossible to talk to on this because it seems we can't discuss any of the other dark arts at work in labour (to which the sky article refers) unless we first concede that antisemitism in labour is somehow worse or more important. I'm not sure it is. It's right up there, but personally I think it's just another shitty thing going on along with all the other backstabbing and any other racism that is happening in labour. I'm not about to elevate the problem in labour to the level of significance of the holocaust, although I agree they may share an ideological root. The cynic in me always thought the allegations of antisemitism in labour would evaporate when corbyn went and it appears unfortunately this is largely the case. This seems strange as none of the allegations were against him as I recall.

It’s because you’re trying to suggest that backstabbing Corbyn is in anyway comparable to racial hatred, it’s not, it never will be.

What other shady things are going on? What other racism is there?

It is quite clear they don’t have an institutionalised issue with other forms of racism, the evidence just isn’t there, when it certainly is, in an abundance, with antisemitism.

Again my holocaust point was highlighting why antisemitism is worse than “shady goings on” with relation to people backstabbing the leader. If you cannot see why people will take it more seriously because of its history, well that’s very naive.

....in your opinion.

mate - you are waisting your time. This loon Harpers Tash called me a troll for getting upset someone called Johnson a **** as he went into icu. You can’t win with them.

say anything centre on here and the pack of wolves hound you for days.

He keeps calling me Piers Morgan whenever he can’t respond to my posts.

He listed several posters on here who have supposedly defended the government at all costs and when I pointed out they’d all criticised the government several times, even tonight, he just called it me as a response.

Same tactics used by others. Saying something false, get proved wrong, do the cowardly thing and run off.

My opinion is there are all sorts of shifty things going on in labour, and antisemitism is just one of them.

“Shifty”, “shady”.

Not words I’d use to describe institutionalised racism, they’re more words I’d describe someone slagging a mate off.

Of course you won’t say that antisemitism is worse than backstabbing a political opponent as it makes last nights disagreement over and it implicates Corbyn for his total apathy to dealing with the issue.

No. I won't say it because I won't allow you to put words into my mouth to suit your own myopic view. I don't agree with your opinion. It's that simple. I'm sorry but that's it.

It’s myopic to be more concerned with antisemitism than Corbyn being ousted by his opponents in his own party, brilliant.

I am not putting words in your mouth, I’m actually just trying to get you to speak your mind but you’re refusing to do so because you know how it’ll be received.

I guess you didn’t read anything I wrote last night.

I can’t be arsed going through it again with you.

Carry on telling everyone that you didn’t vote Tory and how they shouldn’t be taken to task for anything going on because all it is is political point scoring.

I get what you are saying. I just don’t and will never agree with you, no matter how many times you say it or how shouty you get.

I've spoken my mind. Many times. Look at the top of this page - that's what I think. It's different to what you think, and that should be ok - but apparently we all have to think the same as you for some reason or we are somehow apologists or defending the indefensible. That's just not a grown up approach.

You can believe me or not about voting Tory, it matters little, if you want to go through my posts, if you’re that bored, you’ll see right from December 12th I’ve been consistent with saying who I voted for.

On the contrary they must be held accountable but it must be done objectively. The general population support what they’ve done and you lot in here are firmly in the minority.

You don’t take anything into consideration and you refuse to give them credit for anything, instead being hysterical over every little thing they say.

Whenever someone says someone else is shouty on this forum it means they don’t really have a point to come back with. How you can tell someone is shouting by the written word, without caps lock, I’ll never know.

I asked you a question and you ducked the answer.

You’ve then refused to lay it out clearly.

To summarise then:

- I think antisemitism is by far the worst thing in the Labour Party, over the last 5 years and it’s certainly worse than political opponents of Corbyn trying to get rid of him.

- You think it’s on a par with that and it’s just one of several issues and shouldn’t be taken as seriously as it is.

No. I think it's on a par with several issues. All of which (including antisemitism) should be taken seriously and dealt with if labour is to have any future.

Knowing when to let something go is a tremendous skill to have.

I think you are wrong, you think I am wrong.

You can shout as many times as you want. You can channel your inner Piers as much as you want. It isn’t going to change anything apart from your blood pressure.

Sorry to interject but every time i hear Starmer speak i am filled with increasing hope that he is the man to lead Labour back to a position where it can genuinely win elections once again.

What are these other issues that should be taken as seriously as institutionalised racism?
Go back the the article mat posted - off the top of my head wishing young labour activists dead in a house fire, under reporting the antisemitism to corbyn to undermine him by making him ineffective (mobilising it for political gain rather than addressing the issue) and more. It's all laid out in the article. There are so many fractures and factions within labour that they cannot hope to be a credible team or opposition until they address them all. Addressing antisemitism is a start, and a good one, but they have so many other issues to address too.

You want it to be let go because you’ve made a tit of yourself and now you’re deflecting by calling me angry, I’m not, I just feel sorry for you.

I have read it and there’s absolutely nothing in there that’s close to how disgusting and serious the institutional antisemitism has been.

Thankfully Starmer looks like he won’t stand for it.
