Actions? What actions has he done that put money over lives? He's a republican president who just threw more money at the american people than any democrat even thought of never mind asked for.

Well done. Confirmation that I really ought to stay out of this echo chamber of idiots.

I like Pacino but this was one of his poorer choices. Compare this to Serpico and you have you verses me in this thread ;-)
Say hello to my little friend. It’s an incredible friend. The greatest friend this country’s ever seen. The last administration left me with no friends. I’ve had to build my friends from absolutely nothing.

you need to break that down and give examples because, a) He has the experts deliver expert opinion at every briefing. b) i don't follow him on twitter. c) His top noddy medic Fauci tonight explained how even he was taken out of context. d) the evidence for hydroxichloroquine comes from China via every country who are fighting covid. It's used by medical professionals everywhere as I showed on the covid thread several days ago. e) and why the fuck would you bring climate change into this debate unless you knew you were completely fucking bankrupt?
Several times prior to this Fauci and others had to clarify the message and contradict him once he had finished rambling.
I dont follow him on twitter on either but have sight daily of his tweets.
Im not bringing climate remotely into it, I am pointing out that his anti science stance originates with his stance in it and consequently he stood by his cynical view of scientists because he has already set his stall out with them; that surely isnt hard to to understand.
You asked what he else he could and I merely provided some basic and obvious instances. Others would be an acknowledgment that he made a devastingly bad decision in cutting back the Centre for Disease Control for no other reason than President Obama formed it. Getting over the petty need to rescind anything Obama inspired more widely would also be a beneficial thing for him to do.

There is so much much wrong with that but it is too late at night

Sure if your assumption that he isn't properly briefed is true. But neither you or I know if that's correct or not.
i don't want to defend the guy too much because I'm no MAGA guy and I'm also not a big fanboy. I don't live in the states, I know many many friends who do. we are all from a similar background and from the same industry (aviation). I've spent many months working in the States, all corners, but always in the same industry with similar minded people so I don't claim to have any real insight. Of course he did get elected, and probably will be again. But as I say that's outside my purview. What i will say is listen to the last question of the briefing a couple of days ago and his last few sentences of reply and tell me hand on heart that his heart is not in the right place.

I’d be happy to . . . As soon as you listen to the entire transcript of every public statement he has made since becoming prominent in the late 1980s and tell me his heart isn’t in the wrong place.

See, this is how it works in the real world where I live. We add up all the evidence and make a decision. We don’t cherry pick two sentences. We don’t ignore history. We don’t say losing 1-6 is a victory for Utd because they didn’t play like shit for 3 1/2 minutes.

I’ve been following this man’s career since the 1980s. I called him the single worst public person in the USA in the early 2000s. I’ve warned about him for years. I’ve been right every day.

He is irredeemable, amoral, venal and repugnant. He’s told thousands upon thousands of publicly demonstrable lies. He’s intellectually, morally, spiritually, experientially and tempermentally unfit for the job. You disagree? You wanna play? Two sentences aren’t going to cut it in an evidence fight.

The biggest problem is this: in my view, to think otherwise is either an intellectual failing or a moral one, which you know already, otherwise you wouldn’t have started with the refrain EVERYONE who posts in defense of him does — “Now, I’m no MAGA guy or fanboy, BUT . . .” Maybe think about WHY you felt the need to post that disclaimer.

Before i even consider the rest of your post I have to take issue with "Im not bringing climate remotely into it" because you brought climate into the debate. " it started with his contempt for climate change science because it conflicts with his agenda"

So first. are you able to admit that you brought climate science into the debate based on the the fact that as I quoted, you brought climate science into the debate or are you going to deny that?

For very different reasons, you and I have considerable professional experience in evaluating whether someone’s on the gear or not - and this **** displays all the hallmarks.
You're right. Ever since I crashed the ambulance I stole into that hospice while high on crack I have changed my life around. Thankfully.

you sound like you probably voted democrat and are a little disappointed that you didn't win. Are you a little disappointed that you didn't win? Tell me about your choice for president? What were there merits?

Oh dear. You still understand my point. To clarify again, my point is that Trump undermined his whole response to this because his position is to undermine and push against scientists, and that happens to be because he the scientists position on clinate change conflicts with his. Is that clear enough now? Climate change has nothing to do with this, his constant undermining of science does. It merely provides the explanation for it.

Yeah you must be right. That's why he always has the two highest level medical scientists speak and answer questions at his briefings.

You brought climate change into this discussion. Then denied doing it. Then use it to propagate a lie.

Congratulations, earlier today some twat was claiming the earth was flat and vaccines were dangerous. I thought he was the most idiotic person i had read in a long time. You have just beat him to the top of the idiot pile.

GD

out.

I was more than a little disappointed. I was shocked and horrified.

I voted for (in order) Reagan, Bush, Clinton (2x), Gore, Kerry, Obama, Romney and Clinton.

I thought Clinton had strong legislative and foreign relations experience. I also knew — factually — that Trump was unsuited to the office in all the ways I described earlier.

I'm ambivalent.
