Need shooting. My next door neighbour's son who is 20/21 and probably about the same weight in stone went out about two hours ago in his car. He isn't shopping as I have never seen him once come back with anything and he isn't working so what's he doing because he isn't following guidelines. He is doing this most days so if someone could please explain why I shouldn't get pissed off with him I would be delighted. Mind you the whole family are doing it as well so that's the example that's being set. Scum of the earth.

Just for a sense of perspective, I went to the park yesterday and there were about 30 people gathered smoking weed, drinking alcohol, playing music from speakers etc. I phoned the police, went about my business, and by the time I'd got back to my car about an hour and half later, the group was still there and the police hadn't arrived. They're the people the police should be prioritising imo rather than people who are just going out for a walk or doing a bit of exercise.

This. It's the lazy fuckers who think society should do everything for them and be centred around their needs only, rather than them being prepared to put some graft in to create the life they want for themselves. Too many of the fuckers want an easy life, don't care who else is affected and have no integrity or respect/appreciation of others, as long as they're alright.
 
The Department of Health and Social Care later announced that, as of 5pm on Tuesday, 18,100 people had died in UK hospitals with coronavirus - a rise of 759 deaths in the last 24 hours

You're arguing they can be intelligent, which I wholeheartedly agree - thing is, if they never actually use their brain and only ever act stupid, well I can only judge them on their actions. There is literally *no* excuse to not act like a muppet during a global pandemic, but many are doing it anyway. There's a time to be lazy and there's a time to focus. This is it, but they can't. I'd guess squaddies constantly think, and learn to do so, whereas the vast majority let their brains rot away. Absolutely no critical thinking at all.

to be fair if you said there were 4 or 5 the police may have turned up but 30 stoned and pissed kids I am not sure a few bobbies are going to risk that are they. Would you?

I am afraid the police will always go for the easy target. Same round here there are loads of ale cans and smack heads carrying on as normal, the Police busy shifting a few old folk in town sitting on benches.

which is why we need a national social service, if generations now can't parent properly then the youngsters need to be trained in it so we have future generations who have developed the discipline to behave appropriately, have respect for the rules and others and not engage in low-level criminal activity.

Not military based but translating some of those skills into civilian setting, and then we wouldn't need to appeal for volunteers in situations like this, we'd have a ready made network of people to call upon immediately.

I appreciate people have disdain for the old military service, but have a social, civilian based programme I think we are desperately crying out for given our limitations and the behaviour of a lot of people.

I’ve known or met some very intelligent people, some highly qualified, who are thick as fuck! No common sense, no rationality about them, no fucking idea about the world or humanity.

I bracket them with the dullards who can barely read or write and have no idea about owt themselves.

Social intelligence is sorely lacking in this country with far too much of the population.

Understanding of how actions affect others
Understanding of how a shit tip of a house affects surrounding houses or the neighbourhood
Understanding of how slacking (work-wise) affects the nation
How to speak to people (whether they be young or old or from your culture or others)
And knowledge of how to pass this information on to others.

It starts at home, continues at school and should continue into adulthood. But far too many households don’t understand how to teach these things, schools don’t teach these things in anywhere enough detail, and it all stops when attending education establishments stops and then the cycle [badly] starts again.

You’re left with a nation of idiots!

People over 55 will be part of the 2nd trial. In addition to being under 55 you have to be healthy and not on any long term medicine. Those test come later. Probably phase 3.
