Oh this fucking virus , it looks like the virus has started to multiply again in Germany as it has relaxed its lockdown.
Probably why we should wait further along the lines until all figures are released (and compared) across the world.
I know our lockdown has relaxed on it's own accord over the past few days (blatantly obvious if you look out of your window) but unsurprisingly the 'fair weather' walkers are nowhere to be seen today given the weather.

data again;

so we have stats for deaths in the 4 countries of the UK, released each day and back dated
stats for deaths in each hospital trust, released each day and back dated
stats for deaths in each region, released each day and back dated (aggregated hospital trust data)
positive cases per day for upper tier local authority

but not deaths per day for each local authority?
and not total tests per Local Authority?

or have i missed a data source

North West. You fuckers didn't take it as seriously as the cockney wankers. Took a week for it to sink in that you should stay the fuck in!

I blame the lefties ;)

I wonder what they did in London that is not happening in the Midlands and North West

A further 552 people who tested positive for the coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 19,301.

The patients were aged between 31 and 99. A total of 38 of them (aged between 36 and 99) had no known underlying health condition

The regional breakdown is as follows:

East of England 72

London 88

Midlands 99

North East & Yorkshire 87

North West 107

South East 73

South West 26

TOTAL 552

NHS England
They had the virus earlier than most. A very high local Reproduction Number (R0) probably due to TfL and the lack of facemasks in enclosed spaces.
Think of it as a series of regional pandemics.

This graph surely can't be right, can it? I've been critical of the Gov't (without getting into politics here) but even I'm surprised at that.

European excess mortality isnt factured in yet.
Latest excess deaths are as follows:

Thanks, what do you reckon to the face masks advice today?
You mean from Jimmy Sturgeon?
It is essential to cover your nose and face with cloth or a facemask to restart public transport and it MUST be mandatory.
It should also be in place now for shopping. But I understand that PPE supply to the NHS and social care is critical so it makes sence to wait to change the advice till just before we start to open up.

A second peak after we ease restrictions is basically inevitable isn't it? Can they really prevent it? Sceptical we've got the discipline in this country.

You should try the Covid Political thread, reminds me of a Red Dwarf episode where they all wanted to commit suicide its horrendous.
With a lot on there think it's murder suppose you would call it politicide.

There will be, how big is the question.Thing is though we’ve all accepted new habits during lockdown that we didn't have pre lockdown, Things like queuing outside a shop has become second nature, standing apart when chatting to non family members or work colleagues, using sanitiser in shops that provide it or carrying our own. Should all help keep the peak down. Biggest issue will be public transport, that’s where todays Scottish announcement on face covering needs to be taken up UK wide.
