Only €1.5bn worth of equipment.Has this 'EU procurement project' managed to procure anything yet?

How much did Italy get?Only €1.5bn worth of equipment.
The Italians are (were) the 4th biggest annual net contributor to the project but look like not being able to pay subs for a few years, Spain doubtful too. With us leaving that pretty much leaves France and Germany to fill the financial hole. The EU would probably have been able to ride the storm had they not used membership as an expansionist projection of 'soft power' over the former Soviet blok to the east.Indeed, everything's been done by individual governments, this bloated bureaucracy, with it's two parliaments,
isn't exactly flavour of the month with the Italians.
How much did Italy get?
So this brave new world of "our own waters" means we only catch for our own use. No exports? I hope you like mackerel and herring. What happens to our fishing industry? Just make worse our fish trade imbalance with more imports?Hopefully the fish stocks aren't caught by anyone for a few years beyond our own needs and allowed to recover.
What fishing industry? So this brave new world of "our own waters" means we only catch for our own use. No exports? I hope you like mackerel and herring. What happens to our fishing industry? Just make worse our fish trade imbalance with more imports?
What fishing industry?
Aye, and with the French not exactly awash with cash, I would imagine Germany will get the bill. The Italians are (were) the 4th biggest annual net contributor to the project but look like not being able to pay subs for a few years, Spain doubtful too. What do you mean by 'No exports' are the whole of the EU never, ever buying any fish from our waters? So this brave new world of "our own waters" means we only catch for our own use. No exports? More than we did.How much did Italy get?
It'll be retaliation for Aldi UK having to shut down ;-)What do you mean by 'No exports' are the whole of the EU never, ever buying any fish from our waters?
That's surely what fishing only for our own use means, isn't it? That wasn't my suggestion. Even if we did want to export, tariffs will cut demand in the EU for our fish. What do you mean by 'No exports' are the whole of the EU never, ever buying any fish from our waters?
As of 12 March the Chinese had provided a lot of medical equipment to the Italians, but by 14 Mar not a thing had arrived from the EU or any of its member states. Iran got more help than Italy from EU countries and the Italians appear to be a little upset.More than we did.
What tariffs have been imposed? That's surely what fishing only for our own use means, isn't it? That wasn't my suggestion. Even if we did want to export, tariffs will cut demand in the EU for our fish.
If you agree with the dismissive "what fishing industry?" jibe, just say so. We can then put "save our fishing industry" down as yet another Brexiter deception.
They got exactly the same as we did.More than we did.
