thing is with the Chinese and i dont mean to sound racist,whoever is telling them the scales from pangolins or shark fin etc is medicational needs puting behind bars, ive not checked but i dont think their is any proof whatsoever ,might even be a religious thing i dont know

How will tourism be managed? Got to be sensible but it will be back

Suicide rates and mental health? They understand the problem,nhs is now opening up services ,money into mental health,nhs website has lots of support,numbers etc

Are you saying with lockdown the economy can wait ? Have to not have a second spike as that will be worse for the economy

What R number before lifting restrictions? Under one,over one and it will spread quickly

Amongst the worst death rates? Comparisons difficult to make,at the end we will know direct and indirect deaths,did lockdown at the right time,we did it right

We have a really long way to go says whitty,key metric will be all cause mortality adjusted for age,we are nowhere near making that determination yet

Austerity after this ? Economy will bounce back,doesn't like the term austerity Dodged

Cancer deaths? Cancer ,strokes and heart attacks as well,big drop off in numbers a big concern,people must go to hospital

Can you guarantee anyone who needs life saving treatment ? Yes they will

R rate,what is manageable number? Different in different areas but overall below one,much more data now to help,survey of random people with symptoms going on

Face masks? SAGE saying we will as we come out of lockdown,will be useful for confidence

Test and trace? Easier to do once infection rates are lower

How has it changes your view boris after having it yourself? I was very lucky,others have not been so lucky,our objective is to save lives,always have been

Antiviral drugs? The one being studied in America shows a benefit in length of time of the illness but nothing really on death rates,must wait for peer review before we draw conclusions,first step in a long path,we will have better treatment for this,trials in uk are recruiting and big numbers coming foward

Acess to testing? Lots more info on the coming days,trying for every key worker to be tested,trying to make it easier

Next week the plan for next phase will be revealed
 
I would imagine that once this is over the paper shredders In parliament will be burning some electricity!!!

UK locked down a week after Spain and 2 weeks after Italy. This Saturday here in Spain the lockdown essentially will be the same as the UK. In other words we can go out for a 60 minute walk, cycle etc. The only stipulation is that we stay within a kilometre of home.

If that's a success then mid may there should be more easing. If the UK are following suit that would mean 20th May.

Despite an explicit denial of any proposals to increase passenger rail services when First Secretary of State Dominic Raab was questioned at the government’s daily coronavirus press briefing on April 22, industry sources confirm that train operating companies have been asked to prepare to reinstate a significant number of services from May 18.

Codenamed Operation Phoenix, the instruction from the Department for Transport is for a plan to run a ‘Saturday plus’ timetable which would equate to around 80% of weekday services. This would be followed by a further uplift from June 20.

the numbers at 5pm is the number for the day from public heath,it never matches if you add up the individual nations numbers,don't know why but it is always the same
 
Mrs just had a call from this number 02031298110,,the guy had an Australian accent although this seems a London number and the guy was pleading with her not to drink the tap water as it was infected,anyone else had this,should i pass it on to police?
