The mood from Abu Dhabi concerning this is more than just supreme confidence, for whatever reason.

I'd love it to be an actual smoking gun but it is probably something more likely done over a boardroom table.
There’s only so much Bluemooners can ask of you Tolmie. Keep your dignity, don’t let anybody do anything to you over a boardroom table, or anywhere else. You can get some very effective personal alarms if anybody threatens you with a smoking gun over a boardroom table.

Thanks for bringing a bit of pre CV normality to our football related threads.

Hope all ok now re self isolation etc. Keep up the good work S..

As UEFA have used hacked e-mails to be used against us. The time is now right to issue a court summons to appear in Manchester Crown Court. This for being in possession of stolen/hacked e-mails. The same would apply to the whole board/owner of Der Speigel. There is no way that they can say that they knew that they were not stolen/hacked. The time has now come to fight fire with fire, and let's see who blinks first.

Why are the Americans after Julian Assenage they are only after him because he hacked into a American Government data base. The crime that he committed happened in America and not where he was at the time of the hacking. So as the information that UEFA are using was in our computers the crime was committed here and not in Switzerland as some people claim. The same goes for the board and owner of Der Speigel.

According to some of the commentary on here apparently Uefa don’t even have the emails. Just the articles from Der Speigel.

Yeah but Sam Lee who said that City would get off the charges at Xmas now says City aren’t feeling confident. He has totally ruined any reputation he had.

What is more than supreme confidence? Knowledge? Certainty? A done deal? If so, the first thing our enemies will say is 'brown envelopes' and 'off on a technicality'.

Intriguing to say the very least! Firstly came the piece of music, then an assertion that we were not going to lose this case and today we are informed that the mood from Abu Dhabis is "more than just supreme confidence". What I find most intriguing of all is that Tolm considers it more likely that this mood is the result of "probably something .... done over a boardroom table" than of "an actual smoking gun". I would just love to know what could possibly be done over a table to transform a mood of outrage at such a series of flagrant insults to the integrity and honour of entire Abu Dhabi royal family and those managing the economy! UEFA and its officials have conducted themselves in a manner which is disrespectful and insulting in the extreme, in the finest Platini tradition. How far would they have to climb down to assuage outraged opinion in Abu Dhabi? How many UEFA officials would have to resign? How many would have to go to jail? How much of the last seven years would they have to disown? I have always thought that our club, its owners and the Abu Dhabi establishment were always too experienced, too well connected and simply operated at far too high a level to get caught in any crude traps set by the likes of Gill, Platini and any of the other pygmies at UEFA. So, Tolm, are you sure we don't actually have not merely a smoking gun, but a smoking machine gun?

As usual you encapsulate all my thoughts but I trust TH and his ability to cut to the chase when it comes to City matters.
Obviously we have enough evidence to bury most of our individual enemies as well as their collective decisions but I'm not certain that we would fire any of that ammo if we can get what we want by firing only sufficient to achieve said aims.

My view on TH is that he is better connected than any I know and is a true journo unlike the current crop of incompetent clickbait chasers. He earns his living via his connections so will protect them at all costs.

Out of interest was that confident mood communicated to you before or after UEFA announced their ‘closed shop’ CL revamp from 2024, complete with a qualifying period that coincides with our proposed 2 year ban? Would be more meaningful obviously if it was the latter

If the mood for optimism is as a consequence of " something done............over a boardroom table " , could this perhaps mean that we have been offered a place within the hierarchy of UEFA with certain anti-City people being effectively removed from positions of power which they have previously held ?

I am never able to work Tolmie's puzzles out, but I am sure that he would not tease with a topic so important and critical to the future of City .

Fucking hell TH, this is like a Ted Rogers clue on 3-2-1, we're not going to end up with Dusty Bin at the end of this are we?

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that the revamp of the champs league to perfectly coincide with our ban was only put there to completely stop us to the extent that we can never come back to the top table. We’ve shown not only the football world but the sporting world how to operate the complete franchise with clubs on every continent. They’re terrified of us and want us banished and if we are just watch other G14 clubs copy our model. If they have their way we’re toast I just pray our case is water tight and Khaldoon and Soriano have reason to be confident. If not football is fucked forever and a closed shop bore fest

It doesn’t matter if we win at UEFA, their last paragraph about “public perception” will have “The Hateful 8” lobbying for us not to be put forward...especially if the red c*nts down the road and Gill have anything to do with it...

Perhaps we have taken a more pragmatic view and have drawn up a hitlist and hired a hitman to take care of the cnuts ?
