I think this is spot on and saw exactly this all over around where I live. Most people started with good intentions and socially distancing. As the booze flowed though it was quickly forgotten. Think people used yesterday as a real release, including the kids as they’ve been cooped up for 7 weeks now. Let’s just hope we don’t see the consequences in 2/3 weeks time.
exactly this, for as long as I can remember the vast majority of people haven't given a toss about VE day, now it is a big deal to show respect, it was just an excuse for a knees up. My sister had a 'social distance party'and was dressed in Union Jacks, guarantee after 9pm there was absolutely no distancing there and about 20 kids in the garden all mixing. Humans ( unless forced by a communist state ) will not isolate and respect the rules, well the majority anyway. The lockdown is just to slow it down a bit.
My mates in England can't wait till monday for some reason, the general attitude is the virus has gone because the lockdown is being eased.
