They have said they will allow it from juneif the R is at the levels required.

They have given permision for a restart in the future so yes they have given the green light for the season to resume at some point.

They will scupper it along with enough players making it clear they will not play a contact sport game whilst the population is being told to keep social distancing.
 
They've given a date now, so it's more of an amber light to continue. This gives the football authorities something to take to their meeting to work towards, an actual date. Whether that happens or not is obviously dependent on other factors, but i think if there is an agreement in the PL meeting then, unless there is a huge change from now on in the infection rate then the league will restart. Personally i can't see how its possible that there won't be an increase in infection rate with people caning the parks after Wednesday.
 
Football can't resume until June 1st.

Premier league squads need at least 3 or 4 weeks to get back up to speed.

Non English players currently at 'home' in their own countries will be told to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival back in Blighty.

Some premier league teams are against neutral venues and the players safety.

I just don't feel the excitement in myself building up if I'm honest but you can file these latest stories under 'hot air' as it's the latest in a long line of attention grabbing headlines.
 
Just read through the government’s 50 page report. There is a specific section that says from June 1st they will be “permitting cultural and sporting events to take place behind closed doors for broadcast”. Obviously this is on the proviso that there is no leap in the R number. Premier League will definitely be back unless relegation clubs ( 7 of them) block it.

Who says the premier league should have first dibs at playing, why not the fa cup? If they want to lift the nations spirit why not experiment with that first, if it plays out then start the league, on 7 matches to play isn’t it. Could be done in a week at Wembley. Put the roof on to stop Covid floating in, stay in the premier inn at the bottom of Wembley way, job done.
 
I find it astonishing that they are allowing sport in June. We’ve gone from stay indoors to everyone can go out now, in the space of a week.

Money seems to win all the time. How on earth do you play football safely and with social distancing ?

And does anyone else feel like they are done with football

The green light will turn red if anything goes wrong in the Bundesliga over the next couple of weeks.

So we are now being led to believe that hypothetically football can return from June the 1st if the selfish bastards dying can stop dying for a while.

So how will "Project restart" work for us then ?

A team full of Internationals all stuck over the Globe with no unimportant international travel.

Spain still on lock down to outsiders.

What are we to do ?

When they do return 14 days in quarantine.If it happened today it would be 25th May.

Premier League has been a disgrace from start to finish.All they have cared about is "Money".So out of touch with football supporters,the damage will be irreplicable in some fans Eyes.

In a way it iwill be very Apt the Victims win the Title this season.

It years to come when people look back at it.People will be like seriously wtf ?,the season that never should have been concluded,tarnished by the deaths of thousands of innocents.People still dying daily,as the greedy bastards were only interested in making Money.

forget the parks,did you see the London underground this morning?,,,,think of the peak on the graph and where we are today then draw a line backwards until you hit the start of the infection climb, you will hit around 18th March, so in effect thats where we are today, the only diference is the R rate and ofcourse the deaths, as i said previous the only way the R rate is going to change is upwards, i'd say 2nd wave is incoming in around 2-3 weeks putting the FA and there crazy ideas to bed
