Your inability to grasp statistics still, despite 10 weeks of being glued to any thread about this virus 24/7 is amazing.
2.5 per 100,000.
So yeah, in a country of 70 million people the chances of 2 athletes getting seriously ill are high.
In a population of 750 people like the premier league it's incredibly, incredibly small.
Also we dont know the medical history of the "marathon runner" or "boxer".
They are not getting tested every day,the plans put foward are for twice a weekThe players who are being tested at least once a day? Arent going to be contagious before a test flags them up and they're isolated.
I find it interesting and quite funny that people think the Premier League is 100% motivated by money but cant see that the fallout of a player getting seriously ill would cost them billions, as it would definitely lead to the league being delayed until a vaccine.

I guess sometimes you rush your star player back for important games that must be won and you only have 11 players to pick fromI've made my point over and over again: an impatience or underlying feeling that "we've got to get things going again and test the waters" goes against much economic advice, as counterintuitively as it seems. Here is a paper about last timestime happened like this: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3561560
In football terms, it's like rushing your star player back from injury for a big game because he looks ok in light training. If he reinjures himself it will be worse and a longer time on the sidelines than if you had waited a few more weeks.
Read it and find what Dr Eva says about players lung functions and vulnerability to infection as wellSorry karen, what are you wittering on about now?
Effect.I was a student at University of Manchester. I did a Masters there in Astronomy and Astrophysics. I stayed on to write my research up as 'staff visitor', bu now I have accepted a Doctoral scholarship to work on a project related to Exomars (a joint Russian and European space agency mission to Mars delayed now to 2022). It relates to the Rosalind Franklin rover which is due to launch in 2022. I'll be using neutron diffraction to study the affect of perchlorate salts on the hydrogen bonding in water molecules, investigating the boundaries of life, and the self-assembly of bio-molecules, the initial building blocks of life.
Link pleaseTwice a week during social distances training, daily when games start.
Read the news before discussing it ffs.
Crow was not the only champagne socialist that loved feeding at the trough. No difference sometimes between our political 'leaders'Sorry to disagree with you bud on old Comrade Crow. My dad was a shop steward for years prior to retirement for the RMT and maintains that Crow was nothing more than a drunken bully with an over inflated opinion of himself. Crow did nothing more than grandstand and play up for his own public appearance as well as spending huge amounts of members contributions to the RMT on expensive long lunches at very expensive central London restaurants because he could. I mean no disrespect to you or your opinion but he really was the embodiment of the term 'champagne socialist'.
So twice a week for the next month at least.Twice a week during social distances training, daily when games start.

They can't catch it when they are just training sillySo twice a week for the next month at least.

It's all guesswork, and as scientists are still arguing over the SARs outbreak, I doubt we will never get definitive answers.Lol, well that sums up how terribly our country has handled the whole thing pretty accurately if nothing else.
A young marathon runner and a boxer ended up in intensive care,it happens

This is the trouble when you come at a brand new virus that is not sticking to the corona rule book with stats alone and a closed mind,it is true that it is going for the older sicker age group but you only have to look at the nearly 300 front line workers not in that group to know it will get anyone, there are endless stories of younger fit people who have died of this of have been really sickIn my local village an ex-boxer only 32 years old , fit as a fiddle , ran marathons etc , died of the virus last week , there are so many bullshitters on here with zero knowledge of this virus.

Yes that is her,i can't spell her last nameWas she the ex-Chelsea medic ? If so she definitely stated players are more susceptible to the virus due to the phyisical exertions of all athletes not just footballers , but that is just one opinion , anybody can take a view of another expert to suit their agenda , the truth is we know very little about this virus at this moment in time , so posters pontificating about what , where an when football returns or players safety are just purely speculating
