I thought the lockdown/open situation was whilst we wait for a vaccine. If a vaccine can't be made, can we really keep locking down and opening up on/off indefinitely?
We'd just have to learn to live with it.

Would you risk going to a beer garden if allowed? We have far too many idiots can you think what it’s going to be like if allowed
It’s happening all over , are the people 2m apart if so it’s not too bad but if close to each other bang out of orderFamily get together next door in their garden, my Mrs is going mental but i've told her to just ignore it as we're not the covid-19 police.
Bit scary though when you realise one of them is a nurse & one is a phlebotomist, i wouldn't want them treating an elderly relative of mine .

From what I read they have given the vaccine to as many as they can but the concern is that not many are coming into contact with the disease yet.How come? I thought they'd have the vaccine to the first group of humans?
100% I would go.Would you risk going to a beer garden if allowed? We have far too many idiots can you think what it’s going to be like if allowed
If I’ve interpreted those graphs correctly a lockdown just a week earlier would have more than halved the total infected and consequently deaths. That and not sending infected people from hospital to care homes would have reduced it further still. Huge opportunities missed, and no one can say it wasn’t entirely predictable based on data from countries ahead of us in its spread.
I used to live in Canada and the booze how people acted was totally different to here , I used to love the table serviceI run a pub with a huge beer garden, so unfortunately have no choice in the matter.
It’s my livelihood.
I will apply social distancing where possible, but it will be an absolute clusterfuck trying to police it.
I can absolutely assure you, that if day one of opening sees any type of decent weather my place will be absolutely bouncing.
If Furlough still on pubs will be busy all the time100% I would go.
Only to my local though
Maybe so, my Mrs says there are 15 people there, nosey cowWould the risk be any higher if they met in a park? I’d suggest a couple of family members in a back garden is pretty harmless
Dominic Cummings is the reason why not. We won't keep going into lockdown, I'd be surprised if we go back into it again. Things will just be manipulated to make sure that we never go back to the phase where lockdown is necessary. If that is what is required I see no reason why not.

are you thinking of making it a booking time slow or anything along them lines ?
Must be hard for you at the moment
Cannabis is reported to prevent covid infections so the missus is smoking a giant spliff as we speak. Supposed to prevent receptors in the lungs picking it up.Well that's what she's telling me!!! Anecdotally it is useful in many illnesses so fuck it let her carry onMedications already in use ,like HIV drugs are the other options, nobody has discovered one yet but every country is working on it,they will find treatments, also there is the plasma treatment, things that will stop people ending up in ventilators is the most important thing, for the rest of us who get it mild and moderate i think will just have to get herd immunity, immunity is not assured at this stage so that I suppose is a risky strategy, as we have found out, someone somewhere will come up with a vaccine i think but if course their own people will get it first, hopefully that is us but I think people have to aware that it is not a given

How exactly are they going to do that? A second wave will become fairly obvious if ICU wards start filling up, do you think NHS doctors are going to keep quiet if that happens and the authorities try to suppress or manipulate information?Dominic Cummings is the reason why not.
