Yeah I never post about City, that's an... observation...

Mainly as I'm not as connected to the Blues, I can't really afford to go to matches and when they do play i'm usually working so it's BBC Manchester for me. I don't have much City related insight to bore people with, put that down to my anxiety I guess; I hate to sound like I have insight on City when in reality I know only what I discover on the MCFC website and from more informed contributors on here, although I do remember contributing to the parade threads and posting memes there, way back when.

The whole brexit debate kind of took up a lot of my time on here, admittedly, not by choice, but by the number of people on here wanting to tell me I was wrong. But at least I know i'm not considered a significant contributor on here. But to my credit i'm one of the more positive folks on the match day threads. I must be given some kudos for that at least.
Fucking matchday thread..

''Define sovereignty''
This has been going on for days so here:

Sovereignty is the full right and power of a governing body over itself, without any interference from outside sources or bodies. In political theory, sovereignty is a substantive term designating supreme legitimate authority over some polity.

Google is everyone's friend, can we move on now please in a respectful and dignified way, Ta.

Whether the EU implodes or not is 50/50 - but Bob has become odds on

interestingly it was 100% a few years ago - You was dead certain we must leave as the EU will implode - i got bored of challenging you when roughly when this would be as clearly you didn’t have a clue

Be good to see your evidence of this - I wouldn't want to think that you are grossly exaggerating the facts - or outright lying...

The truth is that I have indeed been certain that the EU will implode for many years.....

Am I missing something here? Accuse someone of lying then admit what they said was the truth?

As the collapse/implosion of the EU is a matter of when not if, then we should all be hoping that it is delayed for many years....

Didn't mcfc1632 call you a dick and a tosser in one post? (On his way home from the Carabao final!)
Just done a quick search and you’re absolutely right. He lost the plot completely in that exchange. Forgot to do all his pompous waffling and all his inane bolding and italicising and just went straight for the insults. Made a refreshing change tbh.
Now firstly, someone yesterday sensibly pointed out that the weather is far too nice to waste time on here - especially dealing with people that have nothing of substance to post and can only resort to personal attacks - as we have seen from several Remainers these last days.

Secondly, I emphasise that this post here is aimed exclusively at Leavers and I am just using these posts I am quoting for the purpose of explanation...……..

Fellow Leavers, what I suggest that you take from the last few days is that the Remainers of the 'die in a ditch' mindset have entirely run out of anything reflecting credibility and they have spent recent days and weeks in some sort of 'terrorist' mode - seeking to distract and break-up any factual or sensible dialogues with a mixture of personal attacks and distraction through the posting of outright bollocks.

We need to be careful of getting sucked in - because that is what they want.

That said - I emphasise my offer to @BlueHammer85 that I am absolutely committed to rising to the challenge of the 'quality of debate' that I am hoping he will bring to the thread.

There is an MO that has been obvious for a while - they reply to a Leaver post and totally twist what was said so that they can suggest something else was said and reply in the way they want. This is a tactic of deviousness and deceit - but it has become prevalent. Obviously - it is only a tactic of some and by no means all Remainers - but some of the more frequent posters certainly.

I know most of you will have spotted this technique - it is afterall pretty blatant - but just in case I offer a warning to those that may not have. If you do feel the need to reply - I caution you to be careful in the strength of your response as another tactic is to seek to get you to overreact so that you can be in trouble with mods.

The posts that I am replying to are examples of this toadying deceit. I have to smile that posters is so bereft of points about Brexit to make that they have been scouring my post history just to find an example of when I was riled - whilst pissed on the way pack from Wembley - so they can seek to use it as some form of bait/escalation.

It is doubly laughable - because @west didsblue has called me far worse and far more often - even frequently calling me an outright liar (although that has dropped away as the penny seems to have dropped that I have been truthful throughout - which seems to especially boil his piss)

Anyway - my secateurs await and I am on BBQ brunch duty

Let’s just sit back and see if the EU moves on it’s demands regarding fishing and level playing field. Our Remainer friends suggest not, I’m predicting they will.
They most definitely will. Its not just a trade issue which they will benefit from, they want/need our money. Cue the remainer posts saying they dont need either lol.

Must be nearly beer o'clock time.

Insults you say? The first post i saw this morning had @Mëtal Bikër calling me a liar. He's also failed to answer a simple question and deflected in every reply. As our American cousins say, ''Go figure...'
My post was not aimed at you - if you look at the period just before my post you will see whose arrival diverted the thread from some sensible and Brexit related discussion that had been taking place.

I guess perhaps they felt unqualified to get involved

Cheers @Bovril .
I asked the question to find out what 'mooners ideas of sovereignty are. If the second reply i got days ago had simply given their view instead of telling me i was being 'snarky' (no, dunno either) or a liar or thought i was laying some sort of trap then we could have avoided pages of bitching.

Ok, loner
Ok, loner.
Ok, loner
Ok, loner
Ok, loner,

Just a bit of advice - which is intended to be helpful...

I suggest that you be careful of carrying on with this, lest you suffer the same fate as me.

I had thought a couple of years ago that the best way to deal with a thread stalker (BTW - you do seem to have an obsession with MB - but that is your issue) was to simply reply to him....

"Come back when you have something to say about Brexit stalker"

And I had good reason - the fella was stalking me non-stop - still does.

Anyway - I received either a thread ban or a warning of one if I continued doing that - so I stopped.

I wouldn't want the same to happen to you - the thread would be the poorer for the loss of the quality of your contributions.

..... – get involved in discussion – let’s see you take me on and demonstrate that I do not have a clue...

I thought I did that yesterday.

I will see your French farmer and raise you an Irish one...

The UK will have the option to replace the CAP with whatever equivalent the UK likes for its farmers - and the EU will...…?

What do you mean "will have the option"? That sounds like you haven't a clue what the "equivalent" is in the Agriculture Bill.
