'Karenism' Explained...

Interesting.

I thought Karens were racial incidents of a challenging nature, but it seems this is not the case...

I'm confused...

"A Karen" is a white woman, with a huge amount of privilege, who wants to see the manager over the tiniest thing, who kicks up a stink when her entitled kid doesn't make the team, who doesn't work, who lunches...etc

I don't think she's well.

At all...

I couldn't watch it all so pardon my possible ignorance but once she got to the tenant and told them to leave the building too I gathered this is more a unwell situation than an unhinged situation.

If that makes sense.

I wonder who decided on the name 'Karen' originally? And why Karen, as opposed to any other name? Same with 'gammon'. Wiki says it's been around since 2012, but I never heard of it before this year. 'Woke' is another one. Maybe I need to get out more. I'll mention it to my parole officer.

Gammon is easy, it’s to highlight the skin colour of angry white men.

Karen is a stereotypical name for a middle aged white woman and therefore was just chosen to represent someone of that description kicking off at a manager or complaining about service.

Suddenly they’re now describing racist white women as that too, which I think is a bit unfair.
