Alexandole Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

Nah, racists in a pub is a figment of my (or the far-left commies) imagination according to the usual suspects on here.
Well...….

I was one that was unsure of that. Perhaps in normal times I can have that pint with you and check out the validity of your claim - and if it is proven to be correct then I will leap straight on here to confirm.

Equally, perhaps on a Wembley trip or if business ever brings you this way you can check out the Dog and Duck in my town and you will meet most of these characters on most weekdays - and I would expect you to reciprocate

Hey - what can I say???

It is what it is - it was Bowie in my formative years and the Bat out of Hell album just stuck with me.

Tracey is 10 years younger - so I am not sure what her excuse is. When in our cups on holiday the neighbours are often treated......

That said - I bet - given that the Bay City Rollers, Wham, the Spice Girls and many other groups that made me cringe, have been very popular - there are some on here with more to keep private about their musical preferences whilst growing up than me.
I don’t know mate. At least wham had as a member George Michael one of the best white soul singers of the last 50 years. But meatloaf? You will tell me you like Bonny Tyler’s total eclipse next.
Of course my musical taste, like my politics are impeccable.

I wonder if this kind of scenario has been on the cards since Cameron quit. He knew this was heading for disaster. There was no way that the old tory party and all its big city / establishment type backers were going to push through the kind of brexit that the bigoted zealots wanted. The competent members of the party have just drifted away into big London jobs or retirement. Teresa May thought she could find some middle ground but it was never going to work, that was just half of them trying to pull them back from the brink and the other half insisting they must press on.

Where we are now is on the edge of the cliff that Cameron did not want to be on. There is no good way forward and no good candidates for leader when it all falls apart. The tories have regressed massively since 2016, the calibre of MPs in the cabinet is woeful. The fact they are so reliant on Cummings a clear sign of how little talent there is.
You are doing that revisionist thing that you do again...…..

It is true that the small percentage at Westminster that were/are members of the ERG did not always vote for May's deal - but that is not the reason that she couldn't get it through and we are where we are now.

That was due to the Remainers at Westminster continuing to seek to get Brexit reversed and Labour always voting against - which, as it has turned out led to the opportunity for the Leave supporters like me to have a chance of getting what they voted for.

Hip Hip Hooray for them I say

Sorry to spoil your narrative by introducing some facts

Hey - as a youngster, my party trick was to play Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata with my eyes closed - before other distractions entered my life.

Doesn't mean that I spend evenings listening to classical music - mind you, you might think that a step up on Meatloaf;-)

Didn't mind Dead Ringer for love with Cher, but not very keen on that bloke with her...

Well, Bozza has been bashed up down and across, with some justification, but
mostly from those who, shall we say, are not too keen.
Anyway, it looks like the Labour Leader, has just a bit more work to
do to get the country voting for him...

Those are good numbers six months after an election where Labour polled so badly. And Starmer has only been in the job ten minutes with very little opportunity to showcase anything beyond PMQs.

The Lib Dems are on around 8 points and they don't have a leader!

I'm no fan of Starmer though I did vote for him, but by any analysis those numbers are astounding, but irrelevant in any practical political sense.

It's worth remembering the fat fool doesn't have to go the electorate until December 2024, let that sink in.

Solely from my pro-Brexit POV - thank fuck for that

No problem at all mate, as long as you stay off the jukebox.

Just wondering if we are still having “apparent success “ as previously claimed by Johnson or have we moved onto another level ?
