So there was consistency from city but not from Liverpool.
that was pretty much the point I was making.
There was consistency because they stayed. How is this so difficult to understand? We provided a good club, the facilities and a group ethos. There wasn’t consistency until we were consistent.

Your mob had Bodgers and his three envelopes and a racist striker.

Why are the gobshites like Jimbo trying to make consistency in winning trophies sound like a bad thing? F**k off and go celebrate your Qatar Friendly Trophy in your basement

I think it’s hard for some supporters of other clubs to accept that the likes of Aguero have stayed here principally because they like it.

Why would anyone spend a decade living and working somewhere they didn’t like, whilst in their physical peak, if they could get similar money elsewhere?

Who would do that?

Who wouldn't love it. Dont forget most of these lads have spent their twenties here. Manc is a fun place to live, thriving social life, great places in the city or in the villages, a club who was destined for success and have been consistent winning wise and the club put effort into player care etc. Manc is the perfect place for a lot of the lads we're buying.

You're doing your club a disservice there..

You have been consistent.. consistently piss poor over the last 3 decades when trying to win the one trophy that actually matters..

How does it make you feel when your club, who let's get this straight, have spent 100's of millions of pounds on players over that time and have had nothing to show for it..?

For such a big, awesome, history club (1965 onwards I'm talking about here btw), worldwide fan base, media support and SKY and BT giving platforms to a shit load of your ex players to constantly spout crap about how wonderful you lot are, btw goes without saying that not one of them has ever been heard preaching anything remotely negative for fear of being hung, drawn and quartered..

The whole situation is unbelievably embarrassing which I'm sure you would agree..!

You're club is fortunate that the PL brand has decided to crown you Champions this season and have made sure that even your lot wouldn't be able to fcuk this campaign up by doctoring result after result for you..

They did their best to help you win it last year, left it in your hands but you ballsed it up..

No chances taken this season you'll be pleased to hear..

But but but we're the best team, the table doesn't lie, everything evens itself out over a season, we've had decisions go against us too..!

I'm not interested..!

If you come on here wanting to chat football because you and Pecker are seasoned football supporters wanting to get an opposition fans point of view, you will 100% know yourself that your club has been handed the title this season..

If you can't see that then you're either blinkered, in denial or couldn't give a fcuk how you've won it as it been 30 years..!

Enjoy your * winning season ..!

It's just a little thing but as you are on a City forum, could you please spell City with a capital C please. I know its petty but it shows respect to our club.

Yes City have been the most consistent club the last decade. But it's not just about consistency it's about how the players feel about the club and the way the club feel about the players. Look how you treated Sterling , Sane looks like he wants to leave but City and us fans arent treating him like your lot and the press/media did to Sterling. These players have seen the club build the best football campus in the world. These players have seen how much City have invested in East Manchester. These players (I guess) feel proud to be part of it. Perhaps our players havent got big egos and feel the need to be on the press every day. It's nice to win person awards buts it's not the driving force behind City players due to the fact that they are ignored because they play for City. Our players know they would get a higher profile if they played for the teams in red. Most of our players enjoy being part of this part of Citys history. As a fan of 60 years I feel very proud that Aguero, Fernandinho, Silva, Kompany, Zabaleta have given my club their best years.

Where as liverpool train overlooking houses and the way liverpool havent invested in the Anfield area apart from buying up their homes and leaving them derelict for years. Perhaps some of your players didnt like the way liverpool is run.

Who knows the really reason why some players stay for most of their career at one club. Some for the project, some to be a big fish in a small pond, some for money, some because they dont want to test themselves.

Everyone outside of that claustrophobic bubble called Scouseland knows this entire season has been as farcical as anything the 'Carry On' films could have produced.
The integrity of the whole sport has been irreparably damaged by VAR, corrupt officiating, and a criminally partisan media, seemingly bending over backwards to accommodate the dippers and their pursuit of the 'Holy Grail' - the Premier League trophy.

We have dipper fans coming on here seriously trying to tell us they've not had any assistance from outside sources in amassing the points they have.
Are they serious? You bet your fucking mortgage they're serious. Whilst EVERY other club's supporters have seen what is happening to the game we all love, the dippers genuinely do not see how they have been continuously favoured by pigmol, Michael Oliver and others. And a Sky-controlled media so intent in having their Spice Boys atop of the league by the end of the season that they are rapidly metamorphosing into one of Pavlov's dogs.

For those who don't have time to read the full post, I've highlighted the important bit.

FOC ;-)

Good post though

The saving grace of all this crisis is this title win won’t be remembered for their record breaking winning streak etc, it will always been known as the Covid season, lifting of a trophy at an empty stadium, no parade it couldn’t happen to a better set of twats apart from united obviously. Imagine waiting 30 years for that ha ha

Not even a legitimate competition anymore, 5 substitutes aloud. Teams that did have home advantage having that taken away to play at a neutral venue. Whole teams potentially having to isolate if an outbreak happens, do they play the fixture with the youth team or forfeit? They weren’t the rules in August 2019 so how can they change with 9 games to go.

The rules in force at the start of the season should continue until the end of the season.
Where is the integrity otherwise?
I vote that this season is called the 'Season of no integrity', or something similar.
Any other suggestions?

Operation finish at all costs to protect the tv money. The woman’s league was abandoned why is it dangerous for them to play but it’s ok for The Premier league to finish?

I highlighted as much to Ric, it’s obvious from the AON documentary that the senior players have a bond with the club. It’s nothing to do with money, that’s a fairly anodyne issue at that level. Personally, like a lot of elite level establishments, I think the club work really hard to keep them on side. Don’t give them the opportunity of success elsewhere, give it to them here. Of course things don’t always work out like that, but it’s a proven model for the most part.

I don't see how any football fan, pundit, reporter would disagree. Any restart isn't the same league that started. It really is that simple. Liverpool wont win the premier league 2019/20, Liverpool will win a league that started of as the premier league and finished like an under 11's football tournament. Its scandalous that Liverpool can be named premier league champions 2019/20 when its not ! I don't understand why the press/media arent calling this out, you cant change the rules after 75% games have been played.

I do understand why the press/media wont call it out ;(

Yeah, they'll win the title and still have to pay back a minimum of £21.5 million for the privelige.
