They are there to pick up the hot chicks following them who are clearly into ‘bad boys’.

Seriously though a few guys walking down the street promoting a ‘Bad Boy’ fashion line is not ‘Right Wing Nazi Hunting’.

Everyone just needs to calm down with the ‘look at me I’m a victim too’ schtick.

Depends if people are educated enough to go into the root causes rather than the symptoms and realise there are connections. We aren’t there yet though in terms of the debate as a whole unfortunately, nowhere near.

Until we do though, it won’t do anything until the next powder keg is ignited and we go through it all again.

Its always been an issue for me since the day i was born white.

Spending the late 70's and early 80's listening to reggae has done fuck all to alter the fact that i am indeed, white although according to some, my vote to leave has turned me a nice shade of gammon so maybe not all is lost?

maybe we should all announce our race in our profile so that some posters dont have to guess anymore?

The annoying thing to me and the whole “I’m a victim too piece” is it never truly gets questioned as to why people want them to be victims in the first place.

It’s like the people that say “a racist is a racist, they’re all bad”. Well, no shit sherlock, well done for essentially just saying you personally aren’t a twat at least. The reason for that racism and those perceptions about people existing in the first place and why it then becomes embedded in certain groups is the key bit. It’s only when we properly and honestly start educating and talking about the different root causes that that we can ever have any hope of fixing them (as they have different answers) and bringing about proper change longer term.

I am 100% white (German, Swiss and French) but claimed to be 1/4 Native American to get into Stanford Business School.

I'll apologise for saying sensitive shit to you, but honestly, it wasn't anything I wouldn't say to anyone else, including my own fam.

But, I don't know you like that, which I understand.

Oh and the first half, cos sometimes people are alone fighting a battle against a vast opinion, only to be right at the end.

So, if they're convinced on their POV, only they will come to sense when they're proved wrong or it matters.
 
One thing this thread unarguably demonstrates are the capricious vagaries of fate. This guy (George Floyd) is presently one of the most talked about people on the planet. If he’d gone to another shop, with another assistant, or even gone to the same shop and used a different note, then he’d almost certainly still be walking round Minneapolis, living his life, totally unknown to any of us.

The speed at which he’s impacted on world events is truly staggering. I’m sure it would be to him.

The world we live in today had the power to change people’s destiny in a way that is unprecedented and bewildering.
