I would imagine we will be quite pro FFP once they stop trying to boot us out of Europe - we are a profitable club
FFP is really good for City now, bar this old case investigation.

Imagine Newcastle with the Saudi monarchy money. They could easily outbid anyone. Not so much with FFP. City has already built its revenue and is one of the most powerful club financially.

Still, FFP is a scam benefitting the old European Football Monarchy first and foremost. As such, i will always be against it.

One thing that occurred to me today, specifically in relation to Tony Evans article yesterday, stating that UEFA convicted us on the basis of our own submissions. The only thing I can think of is that some of our submissions in March/ April conflicted with submissions in 2012-14. Other than that I’m stumped.

One other point, our case will have no bearing on FFP going forward, it’s not about the validity of FFP so a win for us doesn’t mean the end of FFP.

It will, however, have far more of a bearing on the premier league. A win should mean champions football next season and all that entails. Defeat and united will get a much needed cash injection plus we suffer huge issues with holding onto our best players and of course future recruitment.

I agree. This isn't a case about FFP, it is a case about City's submissions - but even then, City will be aiming for it not to even get that far give the Settlement Agreement, Settlement Regime etc.

If (a huge if) we achieved a stunning victory and UEFA is totally routed leading to the collapse of FFP would Sheikh Mansour pour in huge sums to bring in players such as Mbappe for instance?

I highly doubt it as he has finished the investment phase and now he is looking for organic growth.

He might just so he can have the last laugh, here's hoping anyway :)

Correct, but it might persuade G14 to break away and/or push hard for a closed shop euro cup. After all, they would lose the power to stop us.
G14 is about to get their wishes answered by UEFA. They are slowly and slowly putting into reality their "history" closed league. UEFa is following the script written by ECA/Agnelli.

You are putting too much weight into CAS decision. If City is banned, they will rejoiced and feast. If City isn't banned, Tebas and co. will keep yelling you are cheats and need to be punished. And they'll create new rules in FFP to make you lose any advantage you can hold over them : future "luxury tax" in pipeline. All that while keeping strategical advantage for themselves : historical coefficient prize money.

It is utopian to think UEFA or G14 will crumble over this. They will just try and retry with a new trick.

Completely agree with this unfortunately.

I didn’t think our appeal was that FFP was wrong, I thought it was that we had not breached FFP? That being the case I’m not sure that a successful appeal would bring FFP down?

It isn't about ffp but if shown that we hadn't breached their rules or if shown their ffp rule had been rewritten to catch City out then the repercussions of this may well start ffp crumbling as everybody will see it was the tool invented to keep the G14 or whatever they are called at the top of the tree.

as for these 8 ****s that signed us off, then their club officials should not be made welcome at our home matches again.

Haven't they changed the rules again so clubs with new money are allowed to spend money? Saw somewhere that newcastle will be able to spend as long as they prove they've got a long term plan.

It's mentioned briefly in the Guardian's Football Weekly podcast. You will not be surprised to hear that:
  1. They want us to lose - they said that.
  2. They don't think we have any case at all because the Der Spiegel emails said it all.
They have clearly never even considered the case if they think it's that straightforward.

It's not worth listening to. They don't have any information, but they never fail to annoy.
The Guardian Football Weekly Podcast is wank.

The Guardian was associated with Der Spiegel and Mediapart (EIC) in the Football Leaks reporting. Not surprised they want City to be banned.
I think you can add every British tabloid, media outlet, tv sports company, and radio stations to the list.
It's only Martin Samuel who seems to see the truth beyond the pile of shite served up from every other Tosspot out there.

I'm just reading Alan Rusbridger's book 'Breaking News' about his time at the Guardian & how the media is evolving. The Guardian & Der Spiegel are absolutely in bed together and have been for a while. So that hardly comes as a surprise.

You keep telling us to not to read/listen/ comment on the guardian but you do it all the time
