The irony in all of this is even if the allegations are true, the root cause of it was us (well, Mansour) helping to make Etihads books look better rather than the other way round, the complete opposite of what all those casting judgement already have been arguing for the last ten years...

The main offender today was Philippe Auclair.

I saw your comments about Rob Harris and Auclair was mild in comparison.

Rob Harris on Talksport (Natalie Sawyer show, last 10 minutes of the 10.00-10.30 segment) I don't ever listen to Talksport for the usual reasons but wanted to check what Harris had to say. It was bad.

"The case is about city trying to show the (UEFA) evidence is inadmissible. City say it is based on hacked or stolen information, documents published by der spiegel 18 months or so ago. It is about City trying to say you can't use this information because it wasn't legally gained. But other cases in Switzerland and CAS have said it is allowed to use such information and recordings.

City were previously sanctioned by Uefa six years ago for FFP breaches. That was overstating the source of revenue from sponsorship linked to their Abu Dhabi ownership. This is not retrying that case. It is new evidence around that and the suggestion that Manchester city actually were misleading or deceiving UEFA for a longer period of time over the true source of the sponsorship income. Some of it was allegedly linked back to the Abu Dhabi ownership, other companies in Abu Dhabi and the money was being channelled around and that led to the income being overstated.

There was significant evidence published by der Speigel showing internal Manchester city correspondence discussing this attempt to circumvent FFP. Manchester city have never disputed the authenticity of this documentation and they are trying to say it is out of context and should not even be considered because of the illegality of how it was obtained. But there is a pretty extensive amount of detail there of how city were trying to artificially raise their revenue because under FFP you are only permitted to make €30 million losses over three years and you need to be able to generate the money yourself".

Yep.. guilty before, till, if, when and after proved innocent.

Like yourself, I am very nervous. Outside of City I have not come across anybody who thinks we will win. Whoever loses this case their reputation and image will be in tatters and I am just praying we are victorious.

to be fair, outside of City how many people have bothered to look into the case in any detail? For most people we are guilty and that’s that, most people couldn’t even tell you what we’ve been accused of doing

That's because the only info they have is the shite put about by our glorious media. Half of these outlets don't seem to have a clue about what the actual charges are.

Is it possible that they could try to find middle ground by "suspending the ban" for say two years pending us breaking the rules again. I am not saying this would be acceptable in any way, just mulling over how it might go other than a clear win for either side. Whatever the outcome, and whatever may result from that outcome, we should never forget who our known enemies are that have shown their hands recently, and remember the reasons why we started supporting this great club in the first place.

Proving to myself I’m not an alcoholic, of course.
I once genuinely had someone who worked for me who claimed he wasn’t an alcoholic because he only drank halves. The fact the cünt used to drink about 30 halves each and every night clearly wasn’t part of his calibration process.

Based on these comments Harris just confirms that he hasn't got a clue what he is talking about. Apart from a brief mention City have not said much about the emails being hacked. In fact they have stressed that it is the overall context that is crucial ie the full email trail not how they were obtained. Der Spiegel have published a tiny handful of emails and they are open to many interpretations. He is just a fraud who is stealing a living including his repeated appearances on Qatari state sponsored TV channels like Al Jazeera.

The fact that rival fans and the bias media WANT us to be guilty of all charges is a sad reflection on THEM really. They've had to stoop so low as to wish that all our success is down to cheating. Pathetic. I've got my list for who's first up against the wall.

Harris is a fucking fraud.

Just a quick question on procedure of the appeal.....is it like a court case where the prosecution go first (uefa) and defence second or is it totally different set up ?....cheers

If that were the case it would surely be the other way round, we are effectively bringing the appeal against the UEFA ruling

Harris is a fucking fraud.
Harris must know, even from the public statements already made, that City's defence is nothing to do with the emails being stolen. That ship sailed a long time ago. He has repeatedly failed to make any attempt to balance his comments. I used to think he was just incompetent but you have to start thinking that he may be malicious in the way he is reporting this issue.

To paraphrase @Chris in London - why can’t he be both?
