The main offender today was Philippe Auclair.
I saw your comments about Rob Harris and Auclair was mild in comparison.
Rob Harris on Talksport (Natalie Sawyer show, last 10 minutes of the 10.00-10.30 segment) I don't ever listen to Talksport for the usual reasons but wanted to check what Harris had to say. It was bad.
"The case is about city trying to show the (UEFA) evidence is inadmissible. City say it is based on hacked or stolen information, documents published by der spiegel 18 months or so ago. It is about City trying to say you can't use this information because it wasn't legally gained. But other cases in Switzerland and CAS have said it is allowed to use such information and recordings.
City were previously sanctioned by Uefa six years ago for FFP breaches. That was overstating the source of revenue from sponsorship linked to their Abu Dhabi ownership. This is not retrying that case. It is new evidence around that and the suggestion that Manchester city actually were misleading or deceiving UEFA for a longer period of time over the true source of the sponsorship income. Some of it was allegedly linked back to the Abu Dhabi ownership, other companies in Abu Dhabi and the money was being channelled around and that led to the income being overstated.
There was significant evidence published by der Speigel showing internal Manchester city correspondence discussing this attempt to circumvent FFP. Manchester city have never disputed the authenticity of this documentation and they are trying to say it is out of context and should not even be considered because of the illegality of how it was obtained. But there is a pretty extensive amount of detail there of how city were trying to artificially raise their revenue because under FFP you are only permitted to make €30 million losses over three years and you need to be able to generate the money yourself".
