My 14 year-old daughter, who is empathetic by nature and just beginning to learn and care about current events, has been quite impacted by both COVID and these protests. She donated her allowance one week to a local food bank, and the next to the NAACP. Totally her call -- I was shocked. I'll make sure to let her know you think she's wasting her time chasing rainbows.

So this is the equivalent is it? People suggest taking down statues of slave traders and you suggest knocking down towns and City’s? How do you arrive at that, it’s absurd

If you are suggesting that we should all know much more about our towns and cities were built and the blood that was split in getting to our position in the world then I’m all for that

Scary movie was brilliant.

But maybe it’s because I was a certain age and grew up with it.

A mate of mine says White Chicks is his 2nd favourite film, although Dumb and Dumber is no.1 so you can imagine him.

I know one defended Bill Cosby so is obviously a prick.

I prefer my politicians cynical enough and bright enough to recognise a moment in history and shamelessly go with it. I’m done with tone deaf, incompetent blow hards.

Also I have a soft spot for Nancy :)
 
After a little catch up of the thread it seems some folk are really into their statues. Who’d of thought it.
